Bivens Arm Nature Park — Attraction in Gainesville

Don't get trapped there!

It's a nice park with restrooms, a small playground with swings, and nice walking trails.

But...

I was a just couple minutes late from coming off the trail and they locked the gates, trapping my vehicle inside. It's my own fault. Im not saying it's not, but does that park really need gates to begin with? Anyone who wants in can just jump the fence... Which is what I had to do, to get out of the park and call for an Uber. My other complaint is the closing time. Most parks in and around Gainesville close at sundown. This park however closes at 5:00PM SHARP!!!

My experience today was basically disgusting. Went there with my daughter and wife. Our experience was short lived after seeing several grown men doing some lewd acts. One black male got out of his car after a conversation with another male and followed him down the trail. The problem is that this guy wasn't wearing any pants!!! Beautiful small park with incredible nature walk , elevated walk areas and down in the dirt, but well marked, trails meandering through wooded terrain just far enough from the road to let you forget you are in the city. Swing sets, climbing "rocks", picnic tables, seating and space for various events, plenty of shade, covered pavilions, open deck areas and parking for about about twenty.
