An amazing park right off of Cleveland Highway. The main park is set on a peninsula surrounded by the waters of Lake Lanier. With that comes picturesque views of the lake along with benches, tables and hammocks! There are a baseball and softball field as well as a beach volleyball and tennis court. Restrooms are located by the picnic pavilions and there is one big trail that circles the park that is perfect for walking, jogging or bicycling. There is a dog-friendly designated mini park nearby called "Laurel Bark Park" that has wide open spaces for them to run. A boating ramp is also nearby as well. Overall, an excellent park for parties, sporting events or a good time out with family and friends.

Spacious park in every aspect. Wide walking path - CHECK Spacious and plenty of parking spots - CHECK Different options/activities available- CHECK The walk path is a circle that goes around the main part of the park, it is a mile long. The dog park (small and large dog areas next to each other) are fairly large and closer to the front side of the park. Although I don't have a boat, this park has a VERY large boat parking area and load area into Lake Lanier. Check out the video below from Roli Hikes if you'd like to see the park and see my dog getting spoiled for her birthday https://youtu.be/ugwOXjFXOXo?si=yBz-7KwG5MhbwX0s

Pretty nice place. You got the lake, play areas for kids, baseball fields, restrooms etc. We got a pavilion to gather for my great grandsons first birthday. Plenty of parking. Clean areas. Trash cans close and handy. I will say that I did see a couple of police ride through. But that didn't stop some from drinking to much at another gathering. My granddaughter went to the bathroom and told me a male came in and used the woman's bathroom while she was in her stall. I didn't observe him in there so I couldn't address the punk. Watch your kids.

Rented a pavilion here for my sons first birthday , there was a mix up and the wrong pavilion was booked so I called and the man I spoke to who said he was the “president” of the company said he fixed it so the correct was pavilion was booked. Asked this man twice if the right pavilion was booked , this was back in March. We show up in august to start setting up the party , the pavilion was double booked so there was another party at the same time for different people, called to get it sorted out was asked to reschedule the party or move to a different park so all the other pavilions were also booked , we already had everything ready, food bought, cakes made, everything! Now we’ve been talking to another supervisor, she is so rude! We moved the off to another park, but we paid for that one so we are just trying prevent it from happening to someone else. However the lady we’ve been speaking to is rude and condescending! That is not okay! Will never rent another pavilion from...

I went here for special Olympics with my son and his best friend... I live local so I drove. When I tried to find a parking spot none were available...

Cars were parked up on the grassy areas on hills in medians... you name it a car was parked there... at the time I had a small low level car so I parked up on the curb as best I could... it’s the best I could do!

The day was over and I got a ticket on my car because I was up on the curb...but all the cars that went over the curb into the grass were fine.. (who knew)... my car couldn’t make it over the curb without bottoming out 😢

I was very disappointed but paid the ticket and learned my lesson...

PS... other cars that did the same as me didn’t have tickets... guess I was in the wrong place at the wrong time... oh!!! It’s also fair the mention I had a handicap tag but no available spots were there.

So now YOU...

This park is awful. Took my daughter to the play ground and everything looked way outdated and decrepit. Most of the swings don't swing right because the amount of rust on the hinges. The "slider" rail on the playground was pretty much rusted up to the point where you couldnt even get it to move. Most of the paint was peeling off all the play grounds as well as the "splash" park. Good thing my daughter already had her tetanus cause one scratch from the play ground and she'd have lock jaw. Can you believe this place actually holds the annual fireworks show for Gainesville? Yeah all that revenue is just lining city official pockets instead of being put towards the beautification of the park. They added a "dog park" but it's a hike away from the actual park. Baseball field have been outdated for sometime now. This place just needs an...
