The place is beautiful and there is a HUGE selection of beautiful stones and crystals, I am certainly not going to deny that at all! I found the store on TikTok and decided to check it out. As a spiritualist though, I was a bit disappointed by other things. While looking at the rock collection, I noticed that they were advertising and selling white sage. Most metaphysical stores do, but it’s always disappointing to see as this is a very sacred and closed practice for native Americans. When I was leaving, I asked the clerks about why they sell it. I was super nice about it I just wanted to know if they were aware it was a closed practice. In response they actually brushed me off and got short with me, telling me they don’t know to ask the owner. I’m all about learning from experience and having an open convo with people, but the way I was shut down with absolute disregard was upsetting. I get that the place is mostly advertised as a rock collector store, and those were the types of customers they were attracting, but if they want to advertise to the more spiritual community, it would be nice to see more mindfulness involved in...
Read moreI love rock shops but this one left me feeling meh towards my whole shopping experience. They do have a wide selection of tumbled rocks and minerals. The owners try to give an atmosphere of being in a mine which isn't my cup of tea. I find the background music to be unappealing to shopping as there are too many conflicting noises. I also find flickering lights to be an annoyance making one want to not linger in those areas. While they offer many beautiful items it just wasn't a pleasant shopping experience. For those who suffer from vision disorders, head pain or epilepsy triggered by flickering lights this would be a place to avoid. On up note: this is a good place for young rock hounds or those looking for specific rocks/minerals. They also offer a children's birthday club where kids receive a free small...
Read moreThis place offers a diverse and incredible selection of minerals. From Michigan to the east coast, this rock shop is the best one I have been to on this half of the country. It is definitely the best rock shop due to the sole fact OF the diversity. Most places offer more native selections to that shops location and typically several other outside minerals. However, this shop offers an incredible range of minerals/fossils/other specimens unlike any shop I have ever visited. I would estimate between 750-1000 different minerals to choose from. I also want to mention how affordable it is as well. Overall, I am very impressed with the store and even the activities it has in the adjacent trading-post. If you are ever in the Michigan area, I would highly consider stopping by to at least...
