Garden City Grocery — Attraction in Garden City

We went in mid day. No one was in the store except us. We had a coupon for a buy one get one free deli sandwich. This infuriated the man who was working. We presumed he was the owner. He went on and on about how he didn’t want to do the coupon because all people would do was buy the sandwiches. If he didn’t want to do the promotion then he shouldn’t do it. There is no excuse for how rude this guy man was to us. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. There are other convenience stores...

Had a rude encounter here now - just went to buy soda with my husband. The guy at the desk was very rude, my husband asked him if you do Apple Pay, he did not like that we asked him a question, and replied with a question in a very RUDE tone - credit or debit? I asked him why do you sound so hassled, his response “I have to go back and finish work, I can’t be bothered with your questions” 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️!

I am a 'newer' local, and I ALWAYS go to GCG if I can avoid going anywhere else--for all of our needs, whether we are on our way to the beach, on our way home, or sometimes I will even stop and get my home essentials when I get off of work.
