David Carroll Memorial Citizens Park had quite a few surprises. This park has a walking trail still being constructed but passable for walking. The trails are cut along the edges of the South Branch Kishwaukee River. There is also a bridge that crosses the river for an extended walk. I was most surprised to see a small boat landing for canoeing included with this park. The community here is lucky to have such a wonderful park.

A hidden gem. I take my dog there all the time, it is one of my favorite places to walk in the area. The park is beautiful and quiet. Many great views and we often get to see deer.
