What an absolute wonderful experience. The patio is beautiful and the staff is so friendly. We truly loved our first visit. Me and my partner both enjoyed a flight of wine, but my favorite was the "recovery noir". It's honestly the smoothest red wine I've ever had and I ended up ordering a few more glasses with our dinner as well as taking a bottle home. They have a very limited selection of food, which is one of my "negatives". That being said the Raspberry chicken sandwich was delicious. My personal critic would be to extand the selection a little and have a few salads and maybe a few kid friendly items as part of their menu. The other downside of the evening (and what lead to a 4 out of 5 rating) was just our observation of how management acted. It was clear he has rules for his staff that he personally didn't have to follow. We saw him sit with a few tables of people it seemed he knew, but he never approaches our table or really many others to see how the night was going. At one point a reserved party arrived and it was apparent it was for his 40th birthday celebration (there were balloons). I can't imagine he was off the clock for this event and he was certainly not managing his team as the staff had to cater to him and his party for more than 30 minutes before we finished our stay and left, him still partaking in gift opening and celebration. It just felt... Inappropriate, but maybe I'm being a prude. My personal opinion is lead by example. If it's inappropriate for your team members to be "overly friendly" with patrons, then you may want to reconsider got having them cater your personal birthday event while it seems like you're the only manager on staff for the night. Overall we had a great experience and will be back, with more friends. What a special little place in Genoa, IL.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT! OMG where has this place been?? I went here today to meet a few girlfriends because the location was halfway between us but little did we know what amazing wines, delicious food and fantastic and friendly service in a beautiful setting awaited us! I arrived early and decided to jump in & get started. Our fabulous server (the best!), Carter, suggested the sampler which essentially you pick a shot of 7 different wines to try before you commit to a glass of any of them. Genius! So for the price, it was a great deal and since we hadn't been there before it gave me a chance to try seven of the wines before committing. I jumped into trying a bunch of the sweet wines and while they did not disappoint! My top favorites were Prairie Mist, Prairie Fire, and Prairie Moscato! Soon my friends joined and we ordered the jalapeno popper dip with pretzel bun chips, and the cheese platter both of which were unbelievable! There was a butternut squash dip on the cheese tray which was so good we actually each ordered one to go and the chef was kind enough to make us each one that we could heat up at home! For dinner we shared the pulled pork Panini which was delicious as well as the turkey with pumpkin goat cheese Panini which was also delicious! Both sandwiches came with homemade chips which were super crunchy and excellent. All of us bought wine to take home in addition to our butternut squash dip and when I tell you we will be back it will probably be within the next month because this place was so good. We've already planned to get together again here as well as bring other friends! They also had music which was really nice in the atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly and the staff all had masks and made us all feel really welcome and I cannot wait to come back!

Charming spot with as many wines across the vineyard spectrum as you can imagine. Sweet wine lovers especially will adore PSW with their selection. Better than many other Illinois wineries. Worth the trip. One thing I particually like are the wines which focus on southern Illinois grape orgins. I don't know if it is my Illinois-native bias or what, but those have been regurlarly on my top of list of favs. While the food menu is smaller than a restaurant, at then end of the day -they are a winery first. Despite that, or rather thankfully, because of that, the food is downright delicious. Also, dont sleep on the wine membership benefits. I live 45 min away and they are worth it

Former wine club member. I used to enjoy coming here primarily as a short getaway from the city. Last visit, I arrived per usual to enjoy some wine with my partner. I attempted to go to the bar, order a glass of wine, sit down in the member lounge and relax. There was an event ( which no email was sent to notify, I guess it's FaceBook only which I do not use ). The "General Manager" informed me that I could not order wine from the bar, I need to go on a waiting list and the members lounge was full. He was cold, snooty and at no time attempted to engage me beyond a smug, dispassionate, blank stare. I explained to him this was out of context for me. I've been coming here for well over a year and this has been my routine since day 1. At no time has anyone told me the bar was for "tasting only". I explained this to him and it was a very bizarre interaction. I have a year at least of doing this very thing. I think he was really trying to be as passive aggressive as possible, primarily due to any lack of attempt to understand where my confusion was and what was going on. Additionally, he's telling me "no...you cannot order wine here" when I have done this for the past year. Not sure what his issue is but decided to grab my bottles, cancel the membership and never return.

Whatever is happening in your life, you need to understand there is nothing special that would enable that sort of attitude. The wine is mediocre as well as the food and environment. The big draw for us was the peaceful outdoor setting in the summer and the lounge in the winter along with the...
