A beautiful experience that was on my bucket list for so long. I'm glad I had the opportunity. I will be visiting again. Take the trip to see one of history's extraordinary houses. Indian Mound Cottage, the winter retreat of Standard Oil millionaire William Rockefeller, reopened Monday after a two-year $300,000 renovation. The house, built in 1891 by Gordon McKay, has new carpet, a fresh coat of paint and a new roof among other things. I have wonderful photos to share but I'm unable to do so. I hope that this helps anybody whom reads this to want to take a trip out to Jekyll Island, Georgia. I promise you won't be disappointed in any way...
Read moreRude,rude,rude. I walked in and there around 2 pm on October the 3rd,there were no signs and the door was wide open. Then an elder white women asked if I was part of the tour,I said no and she told me "out" in a rude and disrespectful way. She also pointed her finger at the door. When I left she then slammed the door. When I went out I saw a couple with a child that also happed to be kicked out by the same elderly lady. That really impacted my experience and I hope this gets resolved soon. Thank you...
