Miner Park — Attraction in Glen Carbon

This is a fun, if small, park. There is a very nice playground, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. Paved trails meander throughout all of these, making it easy to log your steps. The trails link to the Nickel Plate section of the MCT Trail system. I visited here specifically to walk the AllTrails Miner Park Loop and found a decent paved trail around athletic fields to start with then over a creek to an area with a playground and other amenities, such as a pickle ball courts (at least I think they're pickle ball and not tennis - not an athletic bone in my body). Amazing park, never crowded and a basketball lovers dream with many half courts (4 or more) at your disposal. Also, there's a dog park right across a little wooden bridge fenced in for those with pets. I'd say this is a park best for younger children 6 and under but big kids can have a lotof fun here too.
