If I could put 0 stars I would. Server blatantly expressed that she was intoxicated and being a bad server the entire time she was serving my friends and I. Then she handed my friends card to the wrong table. Took the nice guy having to bring it to the server for her to even notice. Then she dropped the card off abruptly and ran off, but continued to see if we'd have a reaction to what she just did by standing by the pos. I ask for a manager, was told there wasn't one I could speak to on a Saturday night?!?! She then continued to argue with me and say "well the card was only charged for your bill I don't understand why you're upset." I shouldn't have to explain why I'm upset you're handing my friends card to someone else, that's mishandling money and that's basically the whole point of your job. Pretty self explanatory. So I call the next day to speak to management and he basically tells me he already knows about the whole situation and he highly doubts that happened with his "tight-knit" group of servers. Also said they were at max capacity at the time I asked for a manager, which was a lie because there hadn't been a new table or even new people walk in for 30 minutes and our servers section was clearing out. I was going to let it go and just never go again but then, the Monday after the incident. My friends card was charged an additional $20. Obviously we didn't tip after she was arguing with me and not taking accountability but that does not excuse her for giving herself a $20 tip on a $91 bill after giving us the worst experience. I have worked in the service industry since I was 16 so I get it when accidents happen with cards but the only way to resolve a situation like that is to take accountability and apologize and offer a solution. Not argue, lie, and make it seem like we're crazy for getting upset with you for handing her card to someone...
Read moreTonight was my first and last time here. I just moved here from out of state & my co-workers suggested here for drinks after work. I ordered the Philly cheese steak it came to me on a hard bun, with cheese only on one side of the sandwich ,and looked like it was four days old. I did not take one bite. One of my co-workers said she didn't like it bring her something else to the waitress. Before I received my food the check arrived and I was charged for the Philly which was more expensive than the second sandwich I ordered. I asked why was I charged for a sandwich I didn't touch. She rudely said you have to pay for the more expensive sandwich because we made it & we have to make our money. That didn't sound right so I asked for a manager & stated I shouldnt have to pay for something I didn't eat. She came back and slammed my ticket on the table with the sandwich omitted. I never got a manager & to keep from causing a scene I left. I know this is not the hospitality state but if this is how they treat customers in Illinois,I'll glady go back to...
Read moreHORRIBLE service, despite what everyone else is saying. We went for lunch when they were dead and there was only 3-5 tables when we were there. The waitress was more interested in sweeping up the invisible dirt on the floors than taking our order and refilling our drinks. But, you don't go to a pub for service, you go for the drinks and pub grub. Too bad that fell flat too. The tea I ordered tasted like sour instant tea and the margarita my friend ordered was bland and tiny. Not worth the price. We went on Tuesday to try their tacos. We both ordered the tacos and some spinach and artichoke dip. The dip was meh. Target's frozen brand has more flavor and artichoke pieces. The tacos got mixed reviews. She liked them, I hated them. The meat was over-seasoned and a touch too spicy. While she liked them, she wouldn't make a special trip to get them again. They weren't...
