Nov. 5, 2019 - The food was great. However, how can they call themselves a tea room when they only have Bigelow tea bags? Note: And a lot of the tea room's photos are not of this location but rather of an older location. 1/18/20 UPDATE: They added loose leaf teas! Now I can truly recommend this place to friends. Cute, cozy atmosphere, delicious food. I hear the desserts are fabulous, too, but I haven't had any, yet. 11/5/21: They got rid of the tuna salad and tuna melts a while back (the only thing our kiddo ate), so we don't visit much anymore. However, we ordered sandwiches at work today, and I tried several new things. The caprese sandwich I had was pretty good, the scone was awesome, the garden salad used shredded iceberg lettuce and wasn't very good. For dessert I had the lemon lush; it was good enough, but it wasn't as rich as I'd been hoping.

Really bizarre for a tea room. I ordered hot tea, and the server repeatedly asked me not to steep the tea bag in the teapot. Do they not know how to properly brew tea or just not want to clean the pots? Steeping one cup at a time in the teacup results in unevenly brewed tea. If you don't want people to use the teapots correctly, don't put them on the table. The potato soup was OK but tasted a bit off. There was no broccoli in the broccoli cheese soup. The stacked ham sandwich was very tasty but very messy. The salads were good.

This is a pretty cafe with nicely spaced out seating (Covid-safety). There is a patio area but we didn't check it out. The food was really good ... The tuna salad and the soups got rave reviews, but my chicken-strawberry- poppy seed salad was a bit lacking ( super dry chicken and not enough strawberries).. The desserts were awesome!! Gotta come back to try several more things from the great menu.

It was my first time there and it was not a great experience. The biggest issue was that after finishing our meal we sat and waited for another 45 minutes before the waitress came back and then without asking if we needed anything like our empty cups refilled or offering to show us the dessert tray she was like “okay is this one check or two”. My companion asked for a to go cup for their soup which they had to order the pick 2 and then add another soup, since the pick 3 doesn’t allow you to order anything other than specifically 1 soup, 1 half sandwich, and 1 salad. I asked for a cheesecake to go since we now had no time to enjoy a dessert there after such a long wait. The only reason I knew what flavor to ask for was because I overheard when another waitress was going over the dessert tray with the table next to ours. When she came back the size of the cheesecake in the to go container was ridiculously tiny. If my friend hadn’t really needed to leave for an appointment they were almost about to be late for I would have told her never mind because for the price it was pathetic. Then when we got our bill I noticed there was an up charge for my tearoom salad of I believe $1.70. I pointed this out to her and asked why I was charged more and she said “oh yeah the tearoom salad is more expensive, but all the other salads are the regular price”. Having never been here before I didn’t know that, was not told that when I ordered it, and didn’t remember seeing it listed as an up charge on their menu or I wouldn’t have ordered it. All in all the food was nothing to write home about. The portions were definitely not worth the price. The cheesecake was terrible and the...

In light of some information that was made clear, I decided this review needed rewrote. I originally wrote a 1-star review due to a misunderstanding with management that resulted in embarrassment and what we felt was unjust treatment. Since our visit last Thursday, I have heard back from the owner of the establishment, and because of her polite and courteous response, I’d like to focus my review on performance of product. Well, in this case, food taste!

Eight ladies all dinned at 1 table, and not one person complained about their food selection. I personally had the fruity chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, and it was just sweet enough. I really enjoyed it. I also had the baked potato soup. It was very creamy and had a great flavor. The sweet tea could have been slightly sweeter for my taste, but when it comes to sweet tea, it’s a whole dessert for me, haha!

The room is cute, and the place stayed busy. I’m sure many repeat...

Our server, Ella, was phenomenal! She was so sweet, informative, gave great personal opinions and guidance regarding the menu and our ordering options. We had a wonderful lunch. The food was homemade and you could tell by the taste and quality. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the hash brown casserole! It's so cheesey, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The lemon chicken orzo soup was super hot and delicious! We also had spinach, ricotta grilled cheese- oh so good! Ella brought over a tray with an array of lovely homemade desserts but we were just too full. For sure next time! We were the last ones to leave as they were cleaning and closing. No one was annoyed and everyone actually engaged in great conversation with us. I highly recommend this wonderful tea room! I understand why this place has been in business for 10 years now. I also love that it is owned by a young woman. We will...
