Nice short hike in the woods. Well shaded - keeps you cool in all weather, soothing trickle of the stream keeps you company. There are many ways to enter the trail. There are multiple points to enter the trail, but you would be better off hitting it right near the first parking lot you see after you enter Big Dalton Road from Glendora Mountain Road. The few other parking lots further up the road would be starting points for Dunn Canyon & Pavil trails. The trail itself is a narrow path - and ends in a construction area on the road. But the whole path is not dangerous by any means as its all flat & close to the river level. Not very crowded too. Combine with other trails such as Coulter Pines for a...

We came here on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded. You have to enter a gate and parking is just on the side of the road. There are various hiking trails you can choose from. We took the easy one since we had a 70 year old grandma and a 3 year old toddler. Both made it OK. There was a restroom in the middle of the hike which one much appreciated. It was clean and in good condition. Hiking trail was next to a small stream of...

This moderate trail follows a bubbling creek past campsites and forest greenery. Bathrooms and shaded campsites along the way made it familyโ€‘friendly. I walked under tall pines, hearing the water rushing beside me. The forest felt privateโ€”despite being within a forest service campground area. My dog loved the cool creek and open understory. A peaceful beginner to...

Los Angeles Trail Recommendation: Mystic Canyon Trail, also known as Big Dalton Canyon Trail. The entire trail is shaded by trees, making it cool even in summer. There's a babbling brook nearby, and you'll need to cross it two or three times, but your feet won't get wet. The trail is mostly flat, requiring very little physical effort, making it perfect for families with kids. Along the way, you'll find campsites, restrooms, drinking water, and even a swing! There's plenty of parking along the road. ๐Ÿ“Address: Mystic Canyon Trail, Glendora, CA 91741 #OutdoorHiking #ScenicHikes #AmericanLife #Hiking #LosAngeles
