I really wanted to love this park because of the splash pad, but there were too many red flags. People drinking their beer. They didn’t even bother covering it and didn’t bother to pick up after themselves like if the park isn’t dirty enough. Homeless woman screaming and talking to herself while filling up her gallons of water, trash all over the place. The floor on the splash pad area needs a scrub real bad. The whole park just needs maintenance and maybe someone patrolling it? The homeless lady was screaming pretty loud and kids (including mine) were staring. I saw a man and a woman coming out of the woman’s restroom, god knows what they were doing in there… idk if I’ll come back or recommend this park to anyone..

I have live cross the street from Dalton Park for 38 years. Me and my son walk are dog Bear at least 3 times a day 2 times we go to the park. Last year and this year I notice the park always looks dirty. And the month of March is the worst I ever saw it the grass is so long right now their still sticks and branches all over from the last wind storm we had. For a month me and my son woul pick up branches everyday to help a little. Who ever does the landscaping is not doing there job

In terms of the splash pad, bathrooms, and picnic areas - I have zero complaints. I will say check the park website if you are going to the splash pads and have never been. They’re only open a certain time of the year for obvious reasons but just in case. My issue with this place is the playground. I don’t understand how they can have such a well kept/updated splash pad area, and have such an awful run down playground. The pictures on here aren’t accurate, first off most of the slides are cut off, literally! They built bars in front of the slides to prevent kids from going down them. Why not just remove the whole slide? It upsets the kids and creates a safety issue because the bigger kids climb them and jump off. I don’t understand how this is a thing. The playground area is also very dirty and they have wood chips. The summer heat makes the wood chip smell really bad, plus it’s just not safe in general. I’ve seen several kids including my own fall and get hurt.

Anyway, the splash pads are great. We’ve gone several times a week during the summer. I...

Pros: The park ameneties are great for kids. They have playground for young/little kids and playground for young/older kids. The splashpad is also a large area.

Cons. Trash everywhere. Some park goers lack decipline. Theres trashcans nearby and yet they leave their trash all over the playground. And No its not by the homeless people if theres any, its by the parents who brings their kids here as I witness one literally toss her soda cup as she scroll through her phone not paying attention to her kids. And thats when I started picking up nearby trash where my niece and nephew are at and started talking outloud " THERES SO MUCH TRASH HERE. PEOPLE ARE SO DAMN LAZY. KIDS PLAYS HERE, THE GROUND IS NOT A TRASHCAN" I was hoping shed say something but too busy swiping left or right...
