First time diner at this ESGV pizza & pasta place. The location has easy access & parking is plentiful. As I entered this newish (relocated) establishment, the first impression is it's clean & spacious. It's a pizza place without the fired pizza aroma. The place can accommodate large groups & single dinners. They have large screen TVs all around (muted) and music bumping overhead. My party ordered a small quattro formaggi, thin crust pizza, with white sauce, the spaghetti & meatball dinner, and the angel hair pasta dinner. The pizza ordered was better than I've had in similar type restaurants. The richness of the mozarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, feta & cream sauce was a good blend of creaminess & tartness. The thin crust held up, and the cheese was stretchy while hot. As the pizza cooled the flavors intensified. The pasta for both dishes was a bit overdone, but based on personal preference--I'd rather have pasta al-dente--some may like it well done, but this wasn't mushy. I would suggest offering an al-dente option for the pasta. The red sauce on the S&MB was traditional with an extra hint of garlic (this was no marinara). The 4 lollipop-sized meatballs are standard in taste & texture; a little on the sausagey side. My friend, the spaghetti and meatballs afficionado, was satisfied with the flavor & portion ("decent") size. The angel hair pasta with butter, basil, tomatoes, & mozzarella cheese topper was better than fair, although not spectacular. The portion size was enough to share or for leftovers. I would suggest offering fresh shaved parmesan cheese as an option to the shaker of "parmesan" cheese. Garlic bread comes with the meal, and the portion of bite sized garlic bread (perfect for mopping up sauce) is generous. It was delicately seasoned--the garlic was not overbearing and the italien seasoning on top provided a subtle flavor chaser. Dinner plates come with a salad, which was a standard salad with onions, black olives, cucumbers, tomato slices & grated mozzarella cheese (nice touch) with a choice of dressing. Overall, this place offers a friendly wait staff, clean facility and amounts to a sports bar type restaurant & food. Out of curiosity I'll return to try their other offerings. Another reason to come back is the outdoor sitting/dining area it would be nice to have a meal al-fresco (there a few places in the area that offers such an option). Until next time...wishing y'all a delish dining experience wherever you...
Read moreVery disappointed in the whole experience especially for being my first time there. I wanted to try something different and looked up local pizza spots. When I walked in there was an associate on the phone behind the counter and one to the side making pizza boxes. I didn't see anyone else and wasn't approached by anyone so I stood there for a few minutes waiting to be helped. The gentleman I saw sitting at the table txting then walks up and get behind the counter to get my order while still having his phone out and txting. I gave my name and was prompted to insert my card which I found odd because I ordered online and entered my card info already. Didn't think too much sometimes its just to hold the funds until pickup and then the transaction will finalize. NOT THE CASE!! I was charged twice for my order and my pizza was nowhere near fresh just sat and kept warm. My wings were over done and too crispy and dry! I will not be returning to that location. I give ZERO stars to this place. Being in customer service this whole experience is not acceptable and needs to looked into. Maybe better training for employees, and they feel they not getting paid enough to care they shouldn't work anywhere near the public. Sad...
Read moreI was thrilled to find a place with house made Gluten Free pasta and imported pizza dough and barely could decide what to try. I settled on the ravioli because I almost never see gf ravioli available in such places.
It was counter service and the inside of the restaurant, with piles and piles of boxes, empty shelves, and lack of eye contact, felt like they really didn’t want you to stay. But I had no where to be so I stayed.
The young lady acknowledged the menu on the counter and I confirmed the gluten free options were available. She shrugged. 15 minutes later, the girl called my name and shoved two paper bags in my direction. Oh, maybe she misheard me that it was for “here,” but no, she went back to get a small styrofoam cup of water that I had also requested. I sat down, unbagged the salad, dressing, silverware, and pulled the small pan with cardboard lid from the other bag. While presentation was lacking, the ravioli itself was actually pretty good. Not Michelin Star, mind you, but a solid cheesy, noodly, well-sauced dinner that I was reasonably confident was gluten free. And...
