This beach is quite hidden. I saw reviews and knew I had to check it out. There seems to be a decent sized parking lot, I went on the off-season, so I have NO idea how quickly/easily it gets packed or anything. It took a bit for me to figure out where the beach was, so it is quite literally a hidden gem. Because it's so small, it's the perfect size for little ones, and mine had fun climbing the rock stairs to see the top of the rocks. There's also a playground in the area, some walking trails, LOTS of benches to sit as well as picnic tables. Plenty of space/field for kids to run around safely as well. I'm glad I went and hope to go back again.

Bf and I didn’t wanna deal with the crowds at Hampton and Danes beach, so we drove a little over an hour to come here and it was definitely worth it. There were only about 6 people on the actual beach, and there’s also secluded areas all throughout the shoreline to swim in if you really don’t wanna be by people. It’s really peaceful and clean. The parking situation was confusing since we were visiting from out of state. The attendant kept leaving the booth every time we were about to pay so we ended up having to pay online.

A charming little cove tucked away in Stage Fort Park—perfect for a relaxing beach day. The crescent shape gives it a cozy, secluded feel, and the calm waters make it great for swimming or just wading in. It’s family-friendly, with picnic areas and restrooms nearby, plus plenty of green space around if you want a break from the sand. The surrounding rocky cliffs offer scenic views and great photo spots, especially at sunset. Arrive early in the summer—parking fills up fast. A true hidden gem on the North Shore!

My family and I went to the beach on August 3rd. It was a Monday, but it was still extremely busy. We went in the late afternoon, and it was very loud and crowded. Its a small beach, and two different groups were playing loud music. (Music that definitely wasn’t appropriate for all the little kids.) Although, there wasn’t anything I could do about those issues. Another thing that really made me upset and disappointed was the lack of interest in the lifeguards. It was two teenagers, a boy and a girl. They spend the time eating pizza, talking, looking at their phones. Basically doing anything else, except watching the water. They couldn’t have been less interested in their jobs. Eventually the boy left to go throw out the pizza box. My whole family was incredibly upset with this. There were many little kids in the water (unsupervised) and anything could have happened in seconds while they were on their phones, listening to music and eating pizza. I definitely will not be returning...

Nice and beautiful place to go with the family, with a special person, or alone. Plenty of parking- you have to go online and purchase a parking pass before you are allow to park. You can bring your own grilling equipment, games, whatever and chill and have a good time. Half Moon Beach is kinda hidden behind a huge gigantic rock and u can get there by stairs or a ramp like, both take you straight to the beach and you will see the beach from above. There are huge rocks where people can climb, walk, sunbathe in them looking at the ocean. There's an icecream place, playground, some seating areas. It really is a nice,...
