2019 update - Still my favorite haunt in DFW. Went on Friday 10/25. It was cold and drizzly. Very lite crowd, no lines at 10pm, but the actors were still there and bringing the scares. They put work in and you can tell. Went to another local haunt the next night and it was terrible and cost more.
2018 - We had so much fun tonight! Got there around 930 and was a light crowd. Went to the main house, the manor first. Caught the chainsaw show. Was very entertaining. So the main house was pretty long. LOTS of jump scares and actors. Felt like they were around every corner. We were exhausted from being scared. 2nd house was the Shadow House. They give you a glow stick so you can see your way through. Be careful the clowns will take your stick away from you and toss it leaving you in the dark. 3rd house was Dungeon of Doom. Very cool 3d haunt. LOTS if good jump scares as well. We fell down at the end and the chainsaw guy was concerned for us. Lol 4th house was the Morgue. A very detailed 2 story house. Again, lots of actors and lots of props. There's so many things to do in between haunts. Shows are well thought out and entertaining. They don't close until the last person leaves, so that's a big bonus. We left a little after midnight closing and there were still people waiting in line at the haunts. They also space you out and you don't go in large groups, just with your party See y'all...
Β Β Β Read moreIt wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a great experience either. The houses are pretty short and sweet for the steep price to access all of them and while some of the props, costumes and set pieces are indeed impressive, it does feel like they all got slap dashed together instead of building off any previous identity they may have had back in Red Oak. Three of the four houses were over and done with in about 5 minutes and that was walking at a slow, measured pace to take everything in. The actors are the golden ticket here; they are having so much fun and it makes it a much better experience for it. Otherwise, it would just be some plywood walls without any depth and not enough set work. Some choices don't make sense in the houses-- the wrestling themed "maze," either give them all chainsaws or trade one off. There's only three actors in there and two of them have chainsaws. The one without was the scariest of them all because he utilized his words properly while the other two just slash about silly without character work. The snacks were good and the skits on the stage and skaters in the center of the park padded out the entertainment in a positive way. It could be a good gateway haunt for younger kids but only if they had cheaper prices for them. Overall, cute...

They only accept cash and there is only one ATM on site, the second one was broken, and on a crowded Saturday night, that's bad news. We waited in line for an hour and a half for one maze and we walked through it in less than 2 minutes, even though we took our time to look at the scenes. We didn't even try to go through the other mazes because the lines were just as long, if not longer, so we left.
The actors were acting their hearts out, but it was obvious that they were all working more than one position in the maze and had to hurry between spots. The two stars I gave was for their performance- we could see that they cared, but there were so few of them, it was hard to get in a good performance.
The line took such a long time, and it really could have gone quickly. They seemed to only be letting in one group of people in at a time and waiting until they were completely out of the maze before letting in 2 or 3 more people. I don't know if that's some kind of fire code restriction, but it made for a bad show, impatient guests, and a subpar experience.
I don't think we'll be coming back, and...
