Ball Perkins Park — Attraction in Grand Rapids

Nice park that has been "preserved as a natural area" according to the city description. There is a neat, mostly natural trail that cuts through the park from Ball to Perkins. Only a small bit is paved. In the east-west direction, it is 0.55 mile long. There's a 0.09 mile stretch that extends to the wetland overlook. There are three benches along the trail, and two at the overlook. At the Perkins end of the trail, there is also a community garden. An absolutely beautiful park with amazing, and very well kept trails. Even many of the small off shooting trails are very nicely kept, and all have quite beautiful, scenic views. Almost all of these woods are old growth, which makes it just even more beautiful. Its about a fifteen or so minute walk end to end, and is definitely worth it. Ball Perkins Park is a nice place for a walk in the woods if you are in the area. The main trail is just over half a mile with a couple of short side trails.
