This review is mainly for the bike trails here, but I will say that the main path is really a nice little bit of paved forest walking and I'd bring my family here just for that. But I was there for the bike trails, so that's what I'll write about.
First of all, I saw a couple side-entrqnces to the bike trails, and that may be a bit nicer to other park-goers than to have us bikers tearing down the nice, peaceful paved area. But as this was my first visit, tear down that paved path I did. Honestly I was just pedaling real slow on the paved parts and stopped to talk to people and waved at kids and just enjoyed myswlf until I found the side trails that are for MTB-ing.
Coming in from the main trailhead, there's a little loop on your left after about 1/4 mile. It twists and turns back on itself. It is a great place for deer, so watch out for four-legged friends! After that little swaray, you get dumped back out on the paved area and can continue northwestish and there's another trail section to your right. You have to go over a nice little bridge. Here there are some fun sections that are super curvey with little dips and small climbs and did I mention lots of curves? There are actually a lot of conjoining paths here that can be ridden in different order, so you can make the small space into a sizeable ride. There were some sandy spots. Some overgrown spots. But all-in-all it was fun, especially for a little ride when I was in the city for work.
If you use the ride-tracking app Strava, you can use that in-ride to help you find where you are or how the hell to get out without crashing through the underbrush. It does all look a bit the same, so a little GPS assistance might behoove you, at least the first time.
I don't think I'd make a drive just to come to the bike trails here, but I have a shop on Kalamazoo ave, so I'll be visiting this a bit more often when I don't have time to get to bigger trails. It sure is nice to have a little spot right in the city, even if it's not high-speed...

My husband and I were searching for bike trails, and stumbling upon this gem was a stroke of luck. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the park's natural beauty.
The bike trail at Ken-O-Sha Park is simply fantastic. It winds its way through the enchanting woods, offering a serene and picturesque experience. Cycling alongside the stream was a highlight for us, and we even had the joy of crossing a charming bridge that spanned its width. The combination of the lush foliage, the glistening waters, and the gentle rustling of leaves created an incredibly peaceful ambiance that rejuvenated our spirits.
One aspect that impressed us was the impeccable maintenance of the trail. It was evident that the park's staff takes great pride in keeping it in top-notch condition. The path was well-marked, making it easy to navigate, and we encountered no obstacles along the way. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the park further added to our enjoyment and made our biking experience seamless.

Read moreTW* Amost Attacked Tonight I went on a walk with my friend, her daughter and my four small children. Our walk was great, beautiful trail but we ended up in a terrifying situation. As we got back to the trail head/school parking lot there was a white utility van parked with its doors open as we got half way across the parking lot to my car by the trail head we notice a 30s male walking towards us with a hammer. We hurried and threw our 5 kids in the car and there was no time for me to get in. I told my friend to get in my driver seat and lock the doors and I shut the back hatch. He was then right next to me. He freaked out on me saying if he sees a phone pointed at him he was going to smash all my windows. I reassured him we weren’t going to point any phones at him and that I just wanted to pack up and go. He was less than 5 feet from me holding a hammer standing by my back taillight and I was by the other taillight slowly moving back while I kept reassuring him he has 100% privacy from me and that I will leave. He finally walked away allowing me to pack up the rest of my things and leave. We did call the police and report it but it was terrifying and I’d like others...
