I rented a loft room that holds 10 guests for three nights at a little over $1,100.00 (photo). I was immediately irritated we were not attached to the indoor waterpark. They said the only walkway attaches from the hotel to the restaurant. Not the hotel to the waterpark. So we needed to walk outside and up a hill, through parking lots to get to the front desk/indoor waterpark. When we arrived it had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. We thought no big deal and turned on the dishwasher. Then more came up. The refrigerator was broken and the bathroom was dirty with mold in the shower. You could tell the shower hadn’t been cleaned as after I took a shower you could see written massages on the shower door (photo). There was so much dust build up on the toilet paper holder it made us cringe. It was disgusting. The upstairs bathroom shower curtain bar was so lose I wouldn’t let the children shower upstairs in fear it would fall on them. When going to make food there were only 3 cooking pan/pots. They must have been over 20 years old (photo). There was a broiler pan, tongs, several glasses, 2 regular bowls, several plates, 2 spoons, 6 forks, 5 knives (including what was dirty in the dishwasher). 1 dull steak knife and 1 pizza cutter. Stained and dirty pot holders (photo) - also the only pan was the broiler pain as said above. Several lights in the kitchen didn’t work: above stove, above sink. Sink facet felt like it may fall off if you tap it just right and the water would never get warm. Never. No matter what way we moved the handle, only cold water. I was making macaroni and cheese and had no strainer or cooking spoon. So I used a fork and had to try to not burn myself dumping out the boiling water. I went to call the front desk and the phone did not work in our room so I had to use my cell. I asked for more cooking essentials. This room is for 10 people….with 2 spoons. No spatula. 2 coffee mugs. They said they’d get us things. Well I called back again on my cell at 10pm that evening to see when they would be coming so we could go to sleep. They said they’d be coming tomorrow instead. They never came. Neither did maintenance for fridge or phone. The listing said there was “coffee service” but it’s a mini coffee machine that will get you one and a half cups of coffee max and need to be refilled. And they only give you these packets for making 2 (mini) pots of coffee. Also we only had 2 coffee mugs. So if there’s 10 of you staying in a loft, you will need to fight for a mug as well as coffee since the pot holds only a cup and a half. We never had maintenance fix the fridge or phone. Still no cooking basics came after we called 2x. You need to bring your own towels to the waterpark. They do not have any there. I realized this the evening we arrived and went to the community laundry room to wash our beach towels. Only 1 washer worked. Both dryers worked. They took quarters but it didn’t say how many. And I only had dollar bills. There was no coin exchange machine in the laundry room. So they have a laundry room that takes quarters. But nothing for you to get quarters. Reminder that the hotel rooms are not attached to the front desk and indoor waterpark. You need to leave the hotel building, walk up an hill, through parking lots to get to the front desk. To top it off, we went to the waterpark and had to pay to use it. Our assumption that staying on property allows you access to the indoor waterpark was incorrect. So we had to pay $35 a person to go to the indoor waterpark that looks like it’s never been updated since 1985. It was very dead inside, almost creepy for a waterpark. (Photo) We were told we CAN go to the outdoor waterpark for free as guests. They call one slide, pool and splash pad a “waterpark” here. Oh and you have to drive to it because it’s not by the hotel and indoor waterpark. This place is a JOKE! Never stay here. Not having your room phone fixed alone is a huge security risk! Spend your money further north at Great Wolf.

Visited during spring break and it wasn't as busy as I was expecting. We arrived on Saturday around 2:00 PM and I wish we had come sooner. We initially parked pretty far away and got lost figuring out where to check-in. We called and they directed us to the waterpark front desk.

We went to the desk to get our waterpark passes and spring break passports (free putt-putt, scoop of ice cream, 20 arcade tokens, and hayride). We did the glow in the dark putt-putt first and it was fun but there was a group of 7 in front of us (despite one of the rules bring groups of 4 or less). We ended up waiting on that group most of the time.

After that, we checked into our room, which was in a separate building. We were not given a map and the lady who checked us in seemed to be in a rush (even forgot to give us waterpark passes for the next day). We moved our car to the parking garage closer to the hotel. It was tight in there! We went to the room to deposit our luggage and get ready for the hayride, the front desk told us to call and ask for a shuttle, so I did. The lady seemed annoyed when I called but said she'd call the shuttle. We went outside to wait and someone from the front desk ran up and said to go to the front of the waterpark building for the shuttle. We went to the waterpark building and the shuttle was leaving as we arrived. Luckily it stopped for us and took us to the hayride. The driver of the hayride tractor was a little crude, HATES being interupted. Overall, cold but fun.

When we got back, we decided to change and check out the waterpark. We went down and got our wristbands. There were a couple empty chairs that we were able to snag and put our stuff on. The water itself was colder that we hoped but still swimable. My kiddos were only tall enough to do waterslides with an adult and since I don't like waterslides, there wasn't much to do except the lazy river. We made the lazy river last about two hours then hit the hot tub/hot springs and left for the room.

The next morning we went for the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. The breakfast selection was water, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, potato hash browns, pork sausage, pancakes, eggs, yogurt, granola, cereal, and pastries. It was pretty good but I wish there had been fruit or quiche or waffles or breakfast sandwiches/burritos. The line was also long and almost all tables were taken.

After breakfast, we put our stuff in the car and attempted to move it but it was basically stuck because of the tight fit. After several attempts, we were lucky enough that the car next to us left so we had more room. We then moved the car closer to the waterpark and checked out with the front desk. When I mentioned that we were only given one waterpark pass, they apologized and found our second passes. We went down at 10 AM and almost all seats were free, so we got to pick a few nice ones by a table. The water was a bit colder. We ate some lunch (pizza, hot dog, and fries) and then went up to the arcade. The arcade was fun, most of the games cost 2-4 coins, so 20 coins can last 30 minutes to an hour. A couple games swallowed our coins but after the first time, I didn't want to keep telling the desk. The good prizes start at 150 tickets, we had 230 to split between two kids, so we ended up with bouncy balls and suckers.

Overall, the things we didn't like were that the water was pretty cold, there wasn't a huge variety of water activities, and the distance between the waterpark and hotel. We would have strongly preferred if they were connected. Overall, the kids had fun but I'm not sure if...

The good: Nice sized place. There was enough variety that each of my kids had something to do and they range from toddler to teen. The place was pretty busy and I was expecting there to be a wait for changing rooms but there wasn't. The indoor/outdoor hot tub was packed full but so cool. The staff was all very nice and helpful. I really liked that they're not overly stuffy about every single thing. The kiddos enjoyed the gift shop and little cafe upstairs. We are earmarking the arcade for another visit. The not so good: It's slippery. Yes, it's a water park, but there's a lot of slick spots. One slide of the 4 big were down, one of the 2 kiddie slides were down. They say you don't need to bring a towel but the towel bin said 'Give a towel Get a Towel' even though we never got one when we got there. IDK if we were supposed to steal a random one or what but they ended up having some fresh warm ones they handed out near closing. They could also use floor drains in the changing rooms and in a bunch of places around the park as you often find yourself standing in cold puddles. Overall it was a pleasant experience that I will approach just a little differently in the future (water shoes, bring my own towels.) to...
