Went in the afternoon when we got there, it was empty we were the only table. The waitress was very nice, although my friend did not eat but 4 bites of her burger and the server never asked if she didn’t like it. I ended up asking if she wouldn’t mind atleast taking off 50% or anything really, didn’t have to be the whole thing she did eat some of it. But it was so over done and dry she barely ate any of it not even the fries were very good because they were cold. As someone who has served you know if someone eats 3-4 bites of their food and doesn’t ask for a box they prolly didn’t like it. I will say the only reason for 4 stars is because the waitress was nice if it was based off food it would only be 3. Because those cooks in the kitchen sucked. Burger was so over cooked, appetizers came out 2 minutes before the food. I got the honey chicken and somehow they dropped my leg in the fryer but forgot the chicken breast so I had to wait for that. The Mac and cheese was so watered it didn’t have any cheese flavor really. My broccoli was cold I ordered a side of butter for it didn’t even melt in the slightest. Over all the food was pretty disappointing besides the appetizer which we got the steak artichoke wontons. Those were good. That kitchen lacks, for an empty restaurant we should have had perfect food. Cold things I understand when it’s busy because things do sometimes sit in the window a while when you’re trying to cook 50 other things. But we were the only two people food shouldn’t have been cold and...

We have visited during both lunch and dinner hours, when the restaurant was busy and when it was slow. Food: There is a reason the Food is cheap. The food we have tried consistently seems like cheapest commercially available. Soups over salted and served luke warm. Hamburgers, buns and toppings taste awful were served either very rare of like shoe leather. Fries were reliably soggy.. leather. Other sandwiches poorly seasoned. Coleslaw and tossed salads seemed dumped directly from a container. Fish is exceptionally greasy and fishy tasting which indicates not fresh. Service: We have walked out twice because it took over 15 minutes to get a menu and drink. We waited almost 20 minutes for salads and when we flagged down the server "I'll get the soon". Food from kitchen slow. These happened even when they were slow. Asking for missed items/order corrections (salad dressing, Fries, etc) soup to be hot or fries crisp doesn't mean those things happen. Main course soup not returned before others at table were finished, on and on. We kept trying because my husband kept thinking it would be better "this time". It never got better. Eat peanut butter and...

Let me start by I worked as a server so I typically understand a lot. I stood at the hostess stand for 15 min before anyone even realized I was there. They had a few tables but were not packed, and most had already eaten. We waited forever for our food, the order was wrong, no big deal, she forgot our sauces, again no big deal lol except she came back like ten minuets later with them so we had to wait to eat as we didn't have silverware either. My husbands burger was not cooked to the right temp so by the time she came back to our table the rest of us were all done and waiting for him to get his food. When they brought it back it then had the wrong toppings on it. I don't expect much, a little I'm sorry about that or small discount would have been good but that definitely didn't happen. So after waiting on our bill forever we left cash as we had already spent way too much time waiting on them. Food was ok but for the price not really worth it. Sad for the people of this town that this is the NICE restaurant for them. Our server was super slow but nice at least, we still tipped her well even though...

Okay so... I grew up on the west side of Michigan and had never ventured to the Double JJ... WILD... but on top of that, I had heard so many GREAT things about Curly Horse (Sundance) we've been here three times... in two days... I'm obsessed. LIKE... I have not even left yet and I'm trying to plan my next weekend here. Ryan and April at the bar were entirely too kind to me when I was a menace that wanted something not on the menu. Ryan whipped it up so quickly and it was so damn good... I hardly remembered the embarrassment I was on the mechanical bull moments before. I but seriously. Go to the Curly Horse. Let the kids go wild all day at Gold Rush and then treat yourself. I rarely order steaks when we go out, because they're never as good as my husband can grill (don't tell him I said that)... but AGAIN, so damn good here! Hit the bar up for some grown up juice and ask for Ryan and April!! They're the best. Truly. Thank them both for me, because my kids and I were just ridiculous... bless them and my husband for dealing with it.

Walked in and wasn’t greeted, did not know where to go or what to do as there isn’t a hostess stand in immediate view. We finally decided to walk around and the server said she’d be with us in a moment and disappeared . She was the only staff member I saw in the entire place which is not fair to her, even if it wasn’t extremely busy. The food was pretty awful. I had the Cajun pasta pictured here, the oil was separated in the sauce immediately. Tasted like the frozen tortellini you get at the grocery store. The chicken strips on top were VERY similar to the pre-cooked chicken at the grocery store. We also got a burger and mini corn dogs for the kids and they took one bite of those and said they were really bad. The burger was dry and bland. The only redeeming quality of this place is the view from the windows.

Sometimes roaming around looking for good food pays off in unexpected locations. Western Michigan along Lake Michigan north of Muskegon can be a rough area for good food. Driving around aimlessly while trying to avoid franchise restaurants was the best decision particularly since this place was hidden in golf course/water park facilities. Friendly staff and surprisingly good entrées including very well prepared salmon, and nicely decorated western themed restaurant. Highly recommended.
