A lovely trail (paved) to enjoy once you're able to find parking. Unfortunately, Google Maps brought me to a highway guard rail off of William D. Tate with no sign of nearby parking. With some time and effort, I learned that the parking at Church at the Cross is actually the closest parking to Wall-Farrar Nature Trail; if you park near the playground you can find the Wall-Farrar Nature Trail signage nearby (pictured). I personally recommend another option which is to park at Parr Park and walk the trail that begins at the back of the park (entrance is a bridge which can be found on the paved path) which will eventually take you to Parr Park Rock Art Trail and then Wall-Farrar Nature Trail. Once there, enjoy a lovely nature walk or run. Hope this helps!

Went here to see the painted rock art I'd read about in the papers. The exhibition is fantastic, but I'd visit this park for the trails, which are pleasantly wooded and connect to the Parr Park trails, enabling you to walk for at least an hour without retracing steps.

I used to enjoy this trail quite a bit as it is (was) one of very few in my city, grapevine, or the rest of the metroplex in general. But it’s now being torn up and clear-cut for a project. This city does not care about nature our outdoor enjoyment.

This is one of the most beautiful trails in North Texas located just miles from DFW International Airport. Wildlife everywhere you look, a beautiful fork of Little Bear Creek, smooth paved trails permit uses from parents out for a walk with their child in a stroller, to joggers, to an occasional bicycle rider. The trails connect to another park along Hwy 360 to the East and Parr Park to the West, part of a trail system that spans Grapevine. The quiet sanctuary of Wall-Farrar Nature Trail was preserved in 2017 from having a road extended and dividing Parr Park and Wall-Farrar Nature Trail, highly contested, but the main thing is this peaceful wilderness will be spared from the cutting of trees and pouring pavement so the wildlife and humans can enjoy this little slice of paradise in the heart of the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex. I hope you have the chance to visit these trails, the forest provides so much shade in the summer it's actually a pleasant walk in the shade in...

Love this trail. It is minutes from my home. The description is misleading because you can easily do 1 hr walk. It connects to Parr Park and leads all the way up to Pool Rd (Bear Creek Trail). In fact if you connect this to the full Bear Creek trail you can easily hit 5 miles.

The trail is surrounded by trees, tucked away behind the surrounding neighborhoods and highways. The noise level sucks but I’m not dinging the trail for that; I just love that I have this place as an option, especially as a new mama.

Added bonus: expect to spot butterflies and fireflies during...
