Barber Park — Attraction in Greensboro

This place was renovated this past year and it is Beautiful. They have certain days for basketball that keeps my husband and his brother's active and in good shape. The place is Beautiful! Can't wait till summer so we can book a shelter and have a huge family function. They have lots of sporting events for all ages. Sunday's are one of the best days to attend events at this facility. They have grills so you can cook out with family. They have small parks for the kids and they have bathrooms you can use while you are at the park. Barber park is an good local spot for disc golfers. I give it 3 stars for several reasons - 1) they've been "repairing" several of the holes for multiple years and they aren't done so some are missing. 2)there is a lot of traffic through the first few holes so you have to be careful of hitting people with errant throws. 3) The course needs to be upgraded with nicer baskets and tee pads need to be made. Currently the baskets are getting old, are not very nice, and there are only marked areas from where to throw. I like Barber park because it's only 3 minutes from my house. An interactive, beautiful landscape park to bring your children especially for birthday parties. They will really enjoy the splash pond!! It is a welcoming family atmosphere. The music series are jamming for all buffs; Bluegrass, R&B, Greensboro Divas, Blues Festival, jazz, local school bands and Orchestra, Summer music in the park, etc. Wonderful talent!
