We would 110% recommend any couple getting married who wants an outdoor barn wedding with a uniquely exquisite and eco-friendly twist to choose The Historic Barn at Cooke Tavern for their venue. The owners, Mary Kay and Greg Williams, are truly one-of-a-kind and will treat you like you're a part of their family throughout the entire planning process through until your wedding day (and even after, so we've gained lifetime friends). They will answer any question you could possibly have and offer their assistance to help your special day be as successful as you planned it to get hitched without a hitch. 😉 The property is one of the most beautiful locations in the central Pennsylvania region. There are multiple different locations for you to choose to have your ceremony, which is convenient and customizable. We had our ceremony at the farthest space from the barn, back along the edge of the property along Penn's Creek. The setup there is more intimate but also impeccable, with the willow tree along the creek bed. One of the best things about this venue is that your decor choices can be very simple, elegant, and minimal, because the natural beauty–both outside throughout the property and inside the barn–really shines and provides its own element of decor. If you're even thinking about this place as a venue, definitely take a tour in person and prepare to be blown away. After we saw it in person, we knew this venue was perfect for us. Our guests loved the space just as much we did and overwhelmingly commented and complimented how truly beautiful both the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception spaces looked for our wedding. Big shoutout to Mary Kay and Greg for creating and maintaining an exquisitely enchanting wedding venue that will continue to serve as the home for many more memorable wedding moments for years to come. Cheers! 🥂 –Mr. and Mrs. Austin and Kirsten Smith, 6/17/2023

We’ve gotten to know Mary kay and Greg over the 1 and 1/2 years planning our wedding, and they are the most wonderful people to work with for a wedding venue. They help you out with any questions you have along the way of planning the wedding and try to make everything simple and stress free. They go and above and beyond to make sure your wishes and desires are met. And they are just the most genuine people I’ve ever met, who just want you to have a happy and beautiful day. I couldn’t be more thankful and honored to get to use their beautiful venue for our wedding because it’s just down right gorgeous because they work so hard to keep it that way. So anyone wanting an outside barn wedding please have it at Cooke tavern with mary kay and Greg you won’t regret it...
