I hope this place never gets closed down . So much fun to be able to drive on the beach . Just remember to air down your tires to 10psi. So you don't get stuck in the sand and watch the tides because they creep up on you ! Definitely fun for the whole family . And the most important thing when your driving in the dunes going away from the waves drive with extreme caution so you don't drive off a steep dune or get caught in a deep bowl . Your best bet it to drive parallel to the waves at all times untill you learn how to navigate better . And if you plan to stay after dark the brighter the lights...

This place is pretty nice. Busy for the July fourth week. Something about this place is that there is constant vehicles with ATVs camper trailers coming in and out of this park. I have been told that it’s not unusual or overly busy but it has been picking up. Today was a good day, it was not foggy, could see to Pizmo Beach in Ocean dunes. The other days were quite foggy and couldn’t see more than two 300 yards in front of you. The water is somewhat cold, but not too bad enough to be able to...

A great way to spend a family vacation. In August, it's sunny mid morning to early afternoon. Fog starts rolling in around 3ish and then the wind kicks in. We were there for 7 days and the same weather pattern. If you plan to rent ATVs, book online the day before and if you book for the morning you get a great price reduction. We saved 30%. #1 rule, as soon as you hit the beach, air down your tires. We went from 65 psi to 20 psi. If you don't, you will be everyone's...

We love going out to the dunes! It's beautiful and a lot of fun. I would give it 5 stars except that you have to be mindful of all the out of towners that come and those who dont follow all the rules out there regarding speed and picking up after themselves.
