The mountains around the Bay Area hide the beach really well. In order for you to get to the beach you will have to get down and walk it's not too far down but it's worth it. Once you get there you will be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It's a small, relaxing yet beautiful beach to enjoy the day. So if your wanting to enjoy the beach on a hot summer day grab your bathing suits , or not bathing suits are optional.

Beautiful! Not too busy. Had fun watching the hermit crabs and sea snails. Might have seen some whales out there! Beautiful weather. Best to visit in October and afternoon, after the fog rolls out. :) Wished there were porta-potties at the park.

Had such a great time with the grandkids. Was a nice place to go for a hike and get the kids to enjoy the outdoors. I would suggest you make sure you wear hiking boots because some spots are a bit slippery

Great beach, one of the best most unspoilt beaches in California. There's a short, easy hike to the beach that keeps it just remote enough to feel natural and wild.

The local "kids" (mostly from Cal Poly) tend to dominate the north end, with Bud Light, loud pop music and Instagram shoots on their phones, but you can avoid them. Depending on the (time of) day, you may have to walk to the south side to avoid the "frat party" scene.

The whole beach is clothing optional, but the south side tends to be the naked side. Earlier in the day, on weekdays, or during CalPoly school breaks the north end stays pretty chill and the nakedness spreads over more of the beach.

Above all, DO NOT TRASH THE BEACH. Please. There is trash service at the parking lot, so do the whole world a favor and pack...

Great views. Sadly people graffiti some things and there are the occasional person who is a bigot. The frats show up to party also. As long as you don't mind the occasional comment or people looking at you nude is fine. As a transgender woman I had only one person say something that I could hear. It was overall nice to be nude and just...
