The Bldg 178 — Attraction in Gunnison

The Bldg is a beautiful venue for any occasion. From the beautiful restored maple floors and exposed brick in the grand hall to the mirrored windows and kid safe zone in the playroom, every detail has been thoughtfully planned out. It is in all inclusive venue that has something to offer to everyone. There are many rooms available for offices, meetings, conferences or sitting space. A special bride room with its own private bathroom and secret entrance for the bride to make a statement when entering the grand hall. A large kitchen with stainless appliances including double ovens and double fridges. There’s a pantry and plenty of countertop prep space. There are a total of five bathrooms, some having changing tables. There is a large parking lot in the rear of the building and street parking up front. Both entrances are wheelchair accessible. The main hall has a sound and lighting system to set the mood for any occasion. There are plenty of white round tables and chairs available and a large buffet table. This venue is perfect for weddings, receptions, dances, family parties, reunions, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, business gatherings, daycare, retreats, conventions, office space, funerals, Thanksgiving dinners, Holiday parties and more. What a beautifully restored 100+ year old building! It has the original hardwood floors and exposed brick etc. it is so well thought out for a venue, especially a wedding and wedding reception. There is a brides room with a restroom in it, no running to a public bathroom after you are dressed in you wedding gown and find you need to go! 😁 There is a stair case that comes right out of the brides room for the bride to make her spotlight entry. And something I haven’t seen anywhere else, a grooms/grandparents room. A place for the groom to get ready and the. French doors that open up TJ the main room with a comfortable place for grandparents, or others, to rest during the long day. AND a nursery/children’s playroom with windows that over look the main room. A door with on way glass so the parents can look on without the children seeing them. It also has a nursing/changing room in it. There is a very nice kitchen with plenty of prep space located right by the serving area. I can’t think of anything that was missing in the planning of this amazing old building. And it is only about 15 to 20 minutes from the Manti Temple. A perfect place...

Wow! What a place!! This venue is so versatile and can accommodate any occasion! Weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, business meetings and luncheons, holiday parties and many more. The building has a lot of history and the owners, JoLyn Chappell and Noni Dalton have done an amazing job completing extensive renovations to modernize the facility and while still keep the history and charm alive. There is a kitchen, bride and groom rooms, sitting room, conference room and even a play room for the little ones. It is only a short 15-20 minute drive from the Manti Temple. Why try to find a restaurant and wait for the food to be served? They work with a great caterer who has all the food ready to serve the minute you walk in! JoLyn and Noni are awesome to work with!
