@user4507334179865 Heavy Metal Playgroun in Hagerstown, MD for the win. Playing in bobcats, stacking tires, basketball competitions, and obstacle course races! #kids #fun #thingstodo #hagerstownmaryland

I received a gift certificate to Heavy Metal Playground as a Christmas present from a good friend of mine, and we finally found the right Venn diagram overlap of scheduling and weather to make it happen this last weekend. The team gave clear instructions for getting to the site, and were wrapping up with the previous folks while I signed the requisite waivers for faffing around with potentially dangerous equipment. The HMP team were personable and gracious to a person, and gave clear instructions all throughout the course on safety, operating the vehicle, and various activities, via the in-cab radio. My good friend was able to take plenty of photos and videos from a safe distance, as I stacked tires, rolled basketballs into a tire "hoop", and raced (well, sedated plodded) the machine along a barrel obstacle course in competition with operator Jay ... all friendly, of course. Super fun time!

A must-do experience for anyone interested in construction machinery whether it be for fun, professional interest, or even for those who are just looking to try something new! I took my boyfriend here for a special occasion as he has always wanted to get behind the wheel of a CAT or any other kind of construction vehicle. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mark who was super friendly and professional from start to finish. He put both of us at ease and got us excited to learn how to operate the equipment. Mark is truly a wonderful teacher, being very clear with instructions, going back over things until he felt we were both comfortable, and still keeping things light and fun. We both had a blast and got to compete in a variety of activities behind the wheel which helped to keep things fun and interesting. We may be back in the future! Highly recommend to all. Thank you, Mark!

Yesterday, our company, BuySPRY, a leading e-commerce supplier of refurbished electronic goods in the US and abroad, partnered with Heavy Metal Playground of Hagerstown, MD, and the Sierra Learnership Collaborative of Winchester, VA for our annual management retreat. The day focused on team building and core values training. The customized classroom sessions, expertly led by Sierra Collins, were highly informative and left everyone feeling inspired and motivated. The outdoor Heavy Metal Playground activities were a fantastic way to break out of our comfort zones and foster collaboration. Mark Stevanus, teh founder of Heavy Metal Playground), Sierra, and all the team involved throughout the day did an incredible job of handling the logistics and creating a memorable experience. Thanks, too, to Horizoon Goodwill Industries for the use of their space for the indoor sessions. Sierra Learnership Collaborative, Metal Playground (. . . and not forgetting Mimi’s Pupuseria y Taqueria!) crafted and delivered an exceptional experience. They gave us a memorable day, leaving us with a renewed sense of...

I was gifted this experience as a surprise for my birthday. From the very beginning the experience was stellar. Mark the owner was super helpful and informative when dealing with my boyfriend in setting up the surprise. When we arrived the safety brief was very helpful in starting my fun experience. My guide Dave was absolutely phenomenal. He helped me learn the controls and guide me when I got stuck or confused when going through the course. Now about the course it's made to be competitive which just amped up the fun. We stacked tires, played basket ball, ran an obstacle course and dug in the dirt. Dave helped me through every part. By the end of my experience I had a permanent smile on my face that lasted the rest of the day. I would recommend this to anyone. I had zero experience with any type of heavy machinery at the beginning of my day and by the end I felt like I wanted to start a...
