BONDS FALLS Scenic Site is a nice place to walk and take in the beauty of nature. The falls are breathtaking and I continue to return each Fall for the changing in color of the various trees. The hike to the falls from the lot is a nice trek not unbearable (probably a good mile or so) , the terrain wooded and somewhat inclining. There is a boardwalk and lookout near the falls and for the adventuresome a way to climb down to get your feet wet and throw some rocks around. A great photography opportunity awaits the falling waters and inhabitants of the area. Landscape is dense, rocky with gentle and steeper inclines, gulleys and smaller streams. This is a very nice area spent for families, hiking & botanical groups, photography clubs, children nature classes and everything in between. I do reccommend this park for people of all ages, gearing toward those who do not have respiratory or joint problems. Wear a supportive closed toe shoe with good traction. This is an outdoor venue so plan on getting abit...

A gorgeous, wonderful sight, just an hour north of Eagle River, WI. Parking at the base of the falls, you will find outhouses and a visitor self-registration station where you're expect to pay the Michigan DNR and one-time daily fee for visiting, which is good at other sites. Bring cash. Today my out of state fee was $9.

For those not able to walk well, the walk to the falls from the parking area is very short on a study and level walkway. From the base, climbing the stairs on the right side of the falls isn't too difficult. That far left side is a different matter; it's a bit more arduous. I have a bad knee and climbed both; I wish I hadn't tried the latter. The climb on the side of the falls is worth every step; there's much more to see than the base of the falls, grand as it is.

There is a seasonal outpost/gift shop on the road above the falls, open mostly in warmer months. I think the outpost closes...

Gorgeous falls! Was impressed with how accessible they are. There are wooden walkways from the parking lot to the day side of the falls. Even a non-motorized wheelchair should have no trouble getting in and getting great views. There are benches.

There is a path up the right side of the falls that is a bit challenging. There are steps, which can be wet. Well worth going up.

My favorite falls in the UP. Less crowded than better known spots.

Note to motorcyclists - if you go to Agate Falls nearby first and use Google maps, it will try to send you by the Agate Cemetery. It is a pretty ride, but the pavement ends quickly. There is a tricky sharp double curve on gravel. If you ride on gravel, it is a pretty good road. If you don't ride on gravel, don't make the turn. There are signs a couple miles on that will direct you to Bond Falls on...

Very beautiful, easy to access falls. Bond Falls does require a park sticker, or you can purchase a day pass for $10 and register on site. Falls has it's own parking lot, restrooms (outhouses), and wooden boardwalk to access main viewing area. You hike around on both sides of the falls up along the river to get different views. That part of the hike is full of rocks, tree roots, and does change elevation. We were able to do it easily with our two school-age children. We did go on a summer weekend, and the Falls itself wasn't too busy but there were people and other families exploring. The bugs were not too bad for July. Would love to see the area in fall. Overall, very beautiful. Water was cold, and the air around the Falls was really refreshing. Would love to do again.
