I've gone to this shop for may years. I've always found unique gifts and gorgeous pieces of art. My sister, visiting from out of state, has been on the lookout for a non-traditional engagement ring. We were admiring a stunning ring in the case near the counter. I stepped up to where the owner stood, to ask her to please show it to us, when along came a loud woman barreling up to the counter. The owner then gave the loud woman 100% of her attention. They began conversing loudly. We were running out of time and patience. So, we left.
My sister needed to see this dazzling beauty on her finger before knowing if it was the right one for her. It looked to be. The ring had an aquamarine, my sister's birthstone, and what may have been a white sapphire or cubic zirconia in a silver wide band.
We were very sad to have missed this opportunity. Perhaps the owner was expecting the woman who rudely barged in. A simple, "Would you mind waiting a moment?" would have been appropriate.
