Was exploring the area with some friends and stumbled upon this nice little strip of beach. Was fairly crowded, and the beach itself is quite skinny in spots, but had a lovely stroll along Gulick Drive, which appears to be primarily used as a paved walking path. You can see the massive container ships leaving from what I am guessing is Virginia Port Authority as well as a partial view of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Fort Monroe National Monument is a mile away from the beach parking lot, which is a treat to wander around in. If you need to kill some time or just want to explore, I would...

Such a cute little beach. The jetty we're fun to explore, the hermit crabs were fun to observe before setting them free. So many wild birds too. Just be on the lookout for jellyfish which seemed to come and go with the tide. Equally fascinating to watch however. Lots of places to go...

You can see the massive container ships leaving from what I am guessing is Virginia Port Authority as well as a partial view of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Fort Monroe National Monument is a mile away from the beach parking lot, which is a treat to wander around in. If you need to kill some time or just want to explore, I would recommend both.
