We went here a few days ago with the dogs. The weather is warming up so we’ll be going more often. It’s close to our house so it’s really convenient. They added newer benches. The view is very pretty, right by the water. It could use a bit of tidying up there’s a few very old and worn toys and 2 kiddie pools that are cracked and need to be discarded. I like the height of the fencing and the large foyer/entryway makes it easy to get in and out with the fur kids.

I love this park. Great place for parties with your fur family and friends. This park offers a good amount of seating and gazebos for shelter. A water hole with a hose, a plastic dog pool. I do wish they had a real dog pool though. Make sure to bring towels if your dog likes to get wet. We have even seen sightings of blad eagles above the park. A family of 5. It was amazing.

My little buddy love's the dog park. We go a few days a week and let him unwind. **special note** Purchase your annual tag for only $10 at Sandy Bottom State Park off Hampton roads parkway. The money goes to keeping the dog park clean and fix issues as they come up.

Today my husband, daughter and I took our pup tech to this park around 2 pm. We got out and saw the grass up to the knee a swimming pool torn with moldy water, a half chewed up Frisbee and nothing for our pup or any other dog to have fun with ... It was really sad. We watched a few cars in the 20 mins we were there come in get out walk their dog to the bark park turn around and leave.. I just think our fur babies deserve more especially right now since they aren't allowed on any beaches.. It was disappointing, all the while there was a park worker sitting in his truck the whole time watching us ... I wanted to tell him to grab a lawn mower and make this park better. You can't even throw a ball for them to catch cause it gets lost in the grass...

A members only park but the city doesn't care they let non members in who litter and let their dogs use waste everywhere, because they are only here for a "short" amount of time. Awful park along with Sandy Bottom as far as having to pay for a membership and not receive any protection from non members besides harassment from the rangers. I understand there are grey areas, but when you are just bringing your dog in over and over without the proper collar and badge you are starting to dive into areas of near harassment, and the rangers just look the other way. I come to this park almost daily and don't even recognize most of the people leaving...

I am a member of the park with my dog Duke. It is a nice park, but there is not much there for the dogs, just a big open area. Most of the time the grass gets really high before they decide to cut it. It is cut by the cities inmates ,I have seen this with my own eyes. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with inmates cutting the grass for those clothes minded people. It just needs to be cut more often. The only toys I've seen in there are tennis balls so bring your own toys. I don't see a lot of owners watching their dogs. To me my child is my dog and I like to keep...
