Seafood & Hibachi — Restaurant in Hampton

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. The first thing that struck me was how clean and modern the decor was. It's not real fancy, but it is well appointed with plenty of tables available. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi and my husband ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi. Both came out hot and flavorful. The side of fried rice was more than ample. The shrimp on both plates were nicely done, not overcooked and rubbery, but just right. The steak was very tender but done a bit more than my husband liked. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The meat came with a combination of vegetables consisting of broccoli, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, red peppers, onions and mushrooms. Everything was well-flavored. The portions were far more than adequate. My husband struggled to eat the hibachi and about half of the rice. I could only manage about half of the hibachi and a small portion of rice. The balance we took home for a light lunch the next day. A nice touch is the glass enclosed hibachi grill where you can watch your food being prepared. We will certainly be back on a frequent basis. My family was so excited to learn that the hibachi restaurant that burned down had reopened. We went in to place a order for dinner Saturday night, I got chicken hibachi, husband teriyaki steak and shrimp, son steak and chicken. Our mouths were watering couldn't wait to dig in. So so disappointed, so many vegetables, you had to dig through vegetables to find the meat, the meat was chopped up so little and hardly any meat at all, needless to say no seasoning, hardly any taste. I had a great experience here. The food was bomb, the lady working was sweet. Shrimps were alil greasy but still good. Everything ordered was tasty and done correctly. They didnt screw up my order, i got everything made exactly the way i wanted.The prices are nice compared to some of the other hibachi places in the area.
