Great park with nice hiking trails, bat caves , stony bluffs , meadows and pond. very scenic and very well up kept. Paved and unpaved hiking trails. Has few different hiking trails, only down side is trails are not well marked and the available maps font show much details. You just have to go and explore the trails , 2 nd time much easier.

I went back a few time to checkout the unpaved hiking trails. There is much more than on the map. Other than the pirates ridge , there is also a Robinson trail, Cemetery trail, unmarked trail and a trail that goes to the amphitheater. Unfortunately can not find a trail map anywhere , even asked the Hannibal info center. Maybe the Hannibal park district will come up a...

Well maintained and beautiful park with an extensive network of paved trails that probably cover 4-5 miles in total. The crown jewel of the park are the bat caves, from which you can watch many bats emerge at dusk at certain times of the year. We just happened to be there the same day that a number of bat biologists were present to count the bats, and they were very informative. It’s a beautiful park even if you’re not there...

First time at this preserve, so it was a learning experience. Parked over by the dog park and walked over the creek bridge, then onto the paved path that leads to the hiking trails and caves. Went in the middle of the week and ran into maybe a handful of people. This was a fun hike with plenty to see.

This is a hidden gem for sure. My son and I traveled from an hour and a half way and didn’t leave disappointed. Both paved and un-paved trails with a bonus of seeing the caves. We’ll be back to explore some more and hopefully catch the bats leaving in the evening.
