Salon D'Ingianni — Attraction in Harahan

If there was less than one star i would probably give it zero, this was the worst hair coloring experience I have ever had! I don't really know about those who gave it 5 stars for. I went there with brown hair asking to make it darker brown with highlights, the darker brown came out black and the highlights came out brown and it wasn't even on all of my hair. In the inside of my hair it is all black like she did not put any highlights but the problem that I saw her putting highlights on all but what I guessed after that all the highlights she made went to the sink yep she burned my hair because when I went there the brown color I had was lighter on the ends but she threated it the same so for sure the lighter color that I already had burned because she made it stay as long as the darker part of my hair. this place is just the very wrong place for hair coloring, the problem is that I saw the manager herself messing up a brown color for another lady, like what is so hard about brown hair coloring But I saw they do good hair cut and they are nice with customers that's the only thing they are good at but for hair coloring DO...

This was the most disappointing hair experience I’ve ever had. I went to Melinda for highlights, but they came out a very grey tone. She even joked that it looked “mushroom,” which I googled later and learned it literally means grey. I tried not to cry and stay positive so I went home, but I was really unhappy with the result.

The next morning, I called the salon and explained the color wasn’t what I expected. They told me Melinda could squeeze me in the following day, which I appreciated. However, when I came back for the correction, I was charged again—bringing my total to $335.

What could have been handled as a simple correction instead left me feeling taken advantage of. For the price I paid, I expected results closer to what we discussed and for the correction to be done fairly. Unfortunately, that wasn’t...

2024 Update: since moving back to Louisiana two years ago, I now see Jamie and LOVE my hair! She does my hair cuts and highlights (blonde hair). I don’t know what kind of voodoo magic she puts in my hair, but it is significantly softer and stronger when I go to see her. I drive from the north shore to go to this salon - I highly recommend!
