This harbor offers beautiful views and other than the steps, the facilities are well maintained. Be careful: these steps would likely be condemned in other jurisdictions. Some say it might be safer to roll down the hill. . . πŸ€ͺ Ask me how I know. After stopping at the nearby store to purchase first aid supplies, the locals told me they "know better" than to use "those" steps. They don't look intimidating, but they are rather unsafe. They lean forward, there are exposed metal spikes, rusty nails and screws, knobby, rotting wood missing pieces in some spots, slick weeds, etc. On the upside, I was very pleased and appreciative of the clean bathroom complete with soap, warm running water, and paper towels to clean up my wounds. I'll be getting an X-ray this week to rule out an avulsion fracture. If you guys at the harbor have the surveillance footage, I'd love to have a copy. It must've been a SPECTCULAR fall. 🫣 In all seriousness though, it might be worth posting a caution sign. 🚧

Update: there are now signs posted at the steps warning...

The young ladies working here should be ashamed of themselves. Both with brown hair, witnessed not working but flirting around with men.

Update: 7-27-19 Still unprofessional. Go to Chicago, Miami Florida or New York because small places like this have no idea how to do business. You deserve better. Enjoy a nice day elsewhere, you will only end up with rude boring people around you all day. You know now.... sail away from here as fast as you can!!! lol. This marina has nothing to offer. They inquired if I was having a bad day after a legitimate complaint, and my answer is no I don't have negative experiences I have learning ones. I gained knowledge about the great loop and this one will be told alllllll around. Also it is online for everyone to see that you are trying to be funny when I'm trying to tell you that your employees are out of line. Have a good one! I'll be enjoying my sailing while you are stuck in...

Harrisville Harbor has been a beautiful place to stay for years. It has recently gotten even better with new Harbor Master. He has taken on kids as young a 14 and turning them into responsible citizens. I can't say enough about what this harbor is doing to train our next generation into responsible polite young men and women. The facilities are clean and well maintained. They have several bikes to use, and even have a courtesy van which will take you where you need to go within reason. The wifi is great. They have recently installed a new playground in the beautiful park above the marina. It is close to town which has a coffee shop, ice cream, breakfast spot, bar for lunch and dinner etc. I hope that the place will begin to fill up and continue to train our kids. Thank you for all...

If I could give this 6 stars I would. Steve the Harbormaster was the kindest and most accomodating host for our brief stay in Early May 2024. He met us at dock on Sunday afternoon, helped us dock, offered to take us to the local microbrewery/restaurant 1.4mi away.(which we took him up on) and came back to pickup us up after dinner for the 5min ride back. Facilities included the nicest well-kept docks and bathrooms/clubhouse around. I know Steve discussed Harrisville as β€œjust a” stopover, but we found it simply outstanding marina and would not miss it on a cruise on West side of Lake Huron.. It is SO much more than just a Harbor of Refuge.. Calm waters, beautiful grounds, spotless bathrooms and laundry.. Don't miss this place. Thanks Steve for a wonderful stay! To start with, this has to be the cleanest Harbor I've ever been too. Scratch that it's the entire area. Every place I've been to the restaurants, the stores, even the gas stations they're all well above average! The harbors and parks which are beautiful and well thought out have the some pretty sweetest views of Lake Huron. While there is plenty of natural habitat it's not so much the insects try to devour you. Though you should bring something to protect you once the Sun starts to set! This was definitely one of the nicest weekends I've had in a very long time!!! Look it up, and go you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful marina! Pulled in to the fuel dock and the staff were right there to give us a hand. Same when we tied up to the slip. The facilities appear brand new. Bathrooms/showers were the cleanest I'd ever seen. Floating docks so easy on and off the boat. Harrisville is a very bike friendly town with scattered shops and restaurants. We listened to some great local music in the park right next to the marina. Bought some fresh veggies the next day at the farmer's market next to the park. Highly recommend a stop and stay!
