Monroe House — Attraction in Hartford City

This review is about the house, not the haunting itself. My paranormal team and I stayed here for two nights. The owner was super nice. We had a nice time. It's obvious that it's in the middle of the big renovation. It already went through some big changes as well, so the layout on the first floor was a little confusing. The AC was nice, but some rooms didn't have AC, so just beware if you come here in the summertime. I love that there's a movie room we could use and watch movies. I love that there's even a fire pit we could use, so we had a nice bonfire and ate some s'mores. I think my only complaint is that there's no WIFI, which is a little silly cuz every other location I've investigated had WIFI. I wanted to stream. However the owner said it's on the list, so I'm already looking forward to our next time...

Went in for an overnight investigation. Home was clean and well taken care of. The folk helping us, Eddie and Pam, were so sweet. Cleaned the home for us, they provided drinks (Soda, water and coffee) and snacks. The property was well secured and we felt comfortable on the property. They left us a note about one issue in the home but not an issue for us. Their hospitality is amazing. The experiences we had in the home were amazing to say the least. If I could recommend one place to visit for a night...it would be The Monroe House. You...

Spectral Researchers of Central Florida has spent several nights at the Monroe House and we highly recommend this location if you are interested in the paranormal. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it delivers activity at a rate that leaves you on edge and wondering what’s next and if it’s wise to close your eyes when you sleep- and yes we did sleep in the house!
