La Palma Restaurant — Restaurant in Hartford City

I know that there is a "pandemic" that we are all going through, but service and the quality of food has lacked the last 2 times I have eaten at La Palma in Hartford City Indiana. I have always enjoyed their delicious Mexican fare, but I was there with a friend on 10/16/2020 @ 2:30 for dinner. Wasn't real busy, but enough to see that the servers were just a bit rushed. I ordered the Burrito California sorry to say that it lacked flavor and meat and cheese. The peppers were nearly raw and the whole Burrito was filled with dry tasteless rice. I also ordered a chile pablano. Well I guess they call it that and not a chile relleno because the pablano pepper was not stuffed with cheese it was laying outside the pepper with sauce covering the dish. It was our first time here and they messed up big time. Took over 30 minutes for my son to get his food after us. They even charged us for their mistakes. Food was overcooked and not up to par. I don't recommend this restaurant if they treat their guests this way. They wouldn't listen to us when we did tell them every time the brought him the wrong dish. I am very disappointed with the excuses and lies. Plus charged us for it!!! Never again. I don't see how they got 5 stars. People must never had authentic...

Nice neighborhood restaurant in Hartford City. The only one that is opened for seating. They are staying busy during dinner time. Margaritas are large and tasty with a variety of flavors to choose from. Waitresses are very nice and friendly. Food is consistenly good and the prices are not too bad.
