I brought a working TV to him. The only issue with the TV was that the remote control wasn't connecting to the TV. However i could use a roku remote app on my phone with the tv and it works perfectly but i thought it would have been an easy fix for him. Lets just say he ruined everything else then he blames it on the manufacturer. He's had my tv and remote for almost 3 months. What he's going to do is repair it and sell it. He is a fraud!!!!!! He has terrible customer service. He doesn't follow up on his promises to call you back. When i call him, there's always an excuse as to why he need to call you back but he doesn't call back. Read moreI recently brought an electric shaver that failed to operate properly to Steve's Electronics, on New Britain Avenue, in Hartford, CT. To my pleasant surprise, while I waited, Steve took the shaver apart, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed the problem within 30 minutes! After thanking Steve for his repair, I asked what the repair would cost. I was again pleasantly surprised at the charge Steve quoted me for the repair! I paid Steve and thanked him for his work. I asked Steve what other small appliances he repaired and Steve said he repairs most small appliances including TV's! I asked Steve for his business card and left the shop within 30 minutes with a shaver that worked perfectly as new! Read moreSteve accepted my projector for repair in early September 2022 and never repaired it. He kept saying parts are not available and that he was looking for it until early November 2022. Eventually he never fixed it. He is probably one of the worst as it relates to customer service. He will not pick up your calls, return messages or communicate properly on status of your repair. The shop is a very poorly organized place in Hartford. He even took a $50 deposit to diagnose but literally did nothing with it. I am planning to go pick up the unrepaired projector today and I hope he hasn’t stolen any parts from it.
My recommendation would be to stay away. Even if he repairs something he will give you significant heartache before he does in not properly...
