Piolin Restaurant — Restaurant in Hartford

Let me start saying that this is one of my favorites restaurants and that Ceviche de pescado is one of my favorites dishes and I have been here for years. With that said, today I visit the restaurant with a hoodie and not the most neat appearance let’s say . I never feel judged until today, the sad part is that today is a hard day for me and I was looking forward to have a peaceful good moment. When I entrance I was not greeted and walk to the table, there was three women putting together to go boxes ignoring me, until the person of to go orders ask me and told me to seat down. Short after a waitress arrive and I ordered tap water with lemon and the ceviche. She came back with the order in 3 minutes approximately, I was surprise until I taste part of the vegetable served that is supposed to be hot and was room temperature adding to that the tap water was room water temperature and she didn’t put the lime or ice cubs I have to remember her about the limes. This is my first time that the vegetable is not hot and the tap water is room temperature they used to deliver it with a jar or at least with ice cubes. I tip 25% not because of you, but because of my character. I didn’t know that the type of service in this restaurant depend on appearances, what a shame for the restaurant. I ordered through the phone the server didn’t take my name that’s their first mistake. Second mistake I walk in and ask for what I ordered given the fact I waited the 20 minutes they asked me and they say I can’t find my order. The server keeps saying that it’s in another store but they didn’t even take my name to even know. I keep trying to talk to the manager but the server keeps jumping over what the manager is saying interrupting and being very rudely disrespectful. I’m trying to be calm and try to even come to an understanding with them and they are not trying to come to any agreement or to satisfy the customer. I am disgusted by their behavior and the improper treatment and training from this manager and EMPLOYEE. The managers are a manger for a reason but I’ve never seen such disrespect at a restaurant by an employee which not only disrespect me but their own manager. Not only did I not leave with my food. They didn’t even let me place another order. I even asked the manager if I were a customer came in to place an order they would take it he said yes but DIDNT LET ME PLACE ONE WHEN I WAS WILLING TO WAIT EVEN AFTER THE INCONVENIENCE. Beyond...

One day I went out with my boyfriend to eat at this restaurant. I ordered a soup. When I got to the end of the plate, I found a fly, completely black (as if it had been cooked with the same soup). When I complained to the waitress, she apologized and took my plate away. The manager didn't come over to apologize. The waitress, following orders I suppose, told me: "Don't worry! The soup will be removed from your receipt and you will only have to pay for the rest of your order." I don't want them to give me the food for free, I just wanted a proper apology.
