Donkey Trail Trailhead — Attraction in Hawaii

We were here when it was raining so the trail was wet and muddy. At first it’s a bit steep and rocky, and it was an ungroomed trail. You pass beautiful trees and shrubs on your way down to the scenic view of the beach, cliffs, and ocean. Proceed with caution due to falling tree branches and coconuts (there’s a sign). Pretty much a straight shot downhill to the edge of the ocean then straight back up the hill. The trail is a bit rocky and muddy if it's been raining. Tree roots to trip on. I really wouldn't call this an interesting trail to hike, but the area is pretty and there's a small waterfall off to the side...

It’s okay. Maybe 10 mins walk down to the shore. Lots of roots from the trees and a few stones but don’t find it steep as other visitors stated… there is just one parking spot for free parking right at the donkey trail sign. The parking lot on the other side is from the botanical garden park and...
