Gilbert Carvalho Park — Attraction in Hawaii

At first glance I thought it was just a baseball diamond with a jungle gym. But then as I headed to the bathroom I noticed a Portuguese bread oven! As I headed to check it out, I heard the babble of a brook! Behind the Portuguese oven was a beautiful little stream with a perfect little wading pool. Finally repaired & restored after flooding from Hurricane Lane. It has always been a favorite park of our ohana. Good parking, clean restrooms, pavilions, ballpark and very large playground. The park is big with an open space concept. There is a fenced up diamond with sests for an audience, benches behind the ball park for sitting out of the sun. The kids playpark is under construction still as of 5/12/19. Water flows not that far from the park for a relaxing spot...
