Fantastic experience. It's a little confusing at first when you pull in, but I followed the instructions of the reviews before. We pulled up to the first gate around 7:20 and I told the guard that I was there to see the Mantas. He promptly told me that is was valet parking only at this time and to pull up to the main lobby. Valet greeted us and I told them I was here for the Mantas and they said no problem. I asked about the cost, and they said it was complimentary and explained the 5 minute walk to the viewing area. The night we were there, there were 2 manta rays coming in close to eat a third shy one that wouldn't quite join in If you go on a Luau night, be prepared to leave before 8 or you'll be in for a bit of a wait. We didn't mind waiting and the valet drivers were clearly hustling to get to the dozens of cars. I tipped the drive $10 which, again, they clearly stated was voluntary and at our discretion, so I gave all the cash I had on me

Arrived around 9:30pm. Told the front gate that we were there to visit the manta ray point and he waved us through and told us to go to the valet. We went all the way down to the valet and told them that we were there to see the manta rays. He just nodded and parked our car. We walked all the way down to the manta ray point and watched three manta rays doing graceful summersaults in front of the floodlight and a group of snorkelers swimming out from the beach with their bright spotlight. So much fun to see these amazing mantas. We tipped the valet $5 when picking up the car. No one ever told us that it costs money to see the manta rays, and everyone was very courteous, but seeing others' reviews, your experience may vary.

Three individuals—one woman and two men—were repeatedly shining strong lights on the poor manta rays and touching them, despite the clear warnings. One of the men appeared to be the woman’s partner. I hope someone will look into their behavior. Hawai‘i is a beautiful place, but only if we all enjoy its natural wonders responsibly and without causing harm. If they’re willing to ignore the rules here, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re also the type to step on coral reefs. Pollution in Hawai‘i has already become significantly worse than it was in the past. If everyone acted the way they did, we might have no natural beauty left to admire in just a few years.

Beautiful resort, great to see nature in action at Manta Point. I wasn’t staying there, so got to the guard 20 mins before sunset, sign was out when I pulled up that said the public lot was full. I mentioned I hoped to go to the shore for sunset, he said lot closes an hour before (so I was too late). I asked if I could use valet to access the bar or restaurants, he told me which ones were open and until when and let me thru. Valet was great, told them I was only there for a short while to see sunset and Manta Point and maybe a drink/food. Tipped them $20 on the way out. All super friendly, great experience. Light at Manta Point went on about 15 mins after sunset, hung for about and hour and saw a Manta Ray come up a few times. Luau is on Friday and Tuesday evenings (this was a Friday), so my timing was good in between the rush of those arriving and departing the dinner/show (so be aware of those times to avoid a rush, I think it ended at 8:30, I was out...

We went to see the Mantas but unfortunately there were none tonight. What you can expect when you arrive is security at the gate entrance asking for your reason for being there and what you say is that you’re there for dinner and ask for valet. Go to the front of hotel and the valet will park your car. Go in, down the stairs, and hang out at the point near the patio restaurant. You’ll see the tour boats for the manta swim and a group from the resort. The group from the resort will swim out to the boats and back to the point (hopefully with mantas in tow). Tonight was a bust. But you can go to the bar and have a drink or simply head out like we did. We didn’t get charged for parking but we didn’t cheap out on a tip. We got there around 7:30 and we left about 90 minutes later. The resort is beautiful and timeless. It was worth it just to see such a...
