Wai'ale Falls — Attraction in Hawaii

Unbelievable waterfall! Great place to take a dip on a hot day. You can also climb to the top and jump off if you like, the pool is deep enough. The water from here is also amazing for plants, it’s full of minerals. I live 5 minutes away I go all the time. I have NEVER gotten my car broken into. There are sketchy people all over planet Earth that is more of a personal observation. The only problem is that now thanks to YouTube every tourist wants to come out here and have an “experience.” You see 20 cars now parked off to the side it’s annoying for us who live here and have respect for this place. Tourists complain, leave trash and get hurt because they either get risky and want to be a dare devil or jump in when the water current is too strong. These are ways to have the cops come and close the whole place down! And since the tourists just go back to mainland Disney World,...

I read all the reviews prior to coming to this particular falls. This would be a great hike/trip to come with a large group of men. (Hang out)

I do not recommend this area to women, family or if your a couple. There are in fact very questionable/sketchy people in the parking lot. We did also notice a lot of glass around the parking lot (car break ins as the prior review mentioned).

I traveled all across the world and am very aware of cultures. My wife and I, as soon as we parked. We noticed a group of 7 guys drinking alcoholic beverages right by the hiking trail. We had made a good decision to avoid this area and driving to Carl-smith beach instead.

I was able to tell right away we were not welcome there by the locals. The couple across the street left as soon after we left.

There is very little law enforcement around the area.

Epic spot to swim under a waterfall! Park near the bridge, I added the parking area to Google Maps. Otherwise Google will try to have you go to someone's house. We parked near the road and went to the Middle falls. It is a little tricky to find the path, but that is part of the adventure. The water was cold in Dec, but swimmable. Kids had a blast jumping off the rocks. My daughter jumped from near the falls, but other people jumped from the left side of the rocks. Guess there are lots of spots to jump from.
