Waipio Valley Artworks — Attraction in Hawaii

Having gone on an ATV adventure, my husband and I stopped in this art gallery to see what we could find that was typical of the Hawaiian island. There were beautifully carved bowls, Raku pots with turtle tops and multiple other handmade items made from their Hawaiian resources! This is a sweet little place to stop before or after visiting the Waipio Valley Lookout. I live in Waimea and take my guests to the gallery for a little shopping followed by a bowl of ice cream on the lanai. There are gifts for every budget. You can browse the collection of valuable Koa bowls, and pick up reasonably priced gifts made by local artists. I've bought books, cutting boards and earrings. Great little shop off the beaten path. All of the items in the shop are made by locals (made in Hawaii). A couple horse tours meet up here, so you may see crowds at various times, or even be a part of one of the crowds. I definitely recommend this shop if you are looking for locally made gifts, art, and souvenirs. The shop staff has a lot of aloha.
