We visited Amista Winery on 1/30. We enjoyed our visit, and liked the wines we tasted, enough to order some sent to our home in CT.
We ordered 3 bottles of the Sparkling Grenache. They arrived, via UPS, on 2/8, having traveled via surface transport, across the country.
Unfortunately, as a result of exposure to very cold weather in transit, all 3 bottles have a white, flaky sediment on the bottom.
True professionals, and justifiably proud of the wines they produce, Amista explained the situation to me, and explained that the sediment is not harmful, nor will it effect the flavor of the wine. Further, they graciously offered for us to keep and enjoy the 3 bottles, and are sending 3 replacements as soon as it appears that there will be a period of reasonably good weather.
A beautiful vineyard, VERY friendly and accommodating people, and wonderful wines.
I can only give Amista Vineyards the very best recommendation!

Read moreAmista is hands down our new favorite winery! The property is beautiful and we were able to sit right amongst the vines. We had picked Amista somewhat randomly in a search for sparkling wine tastings for my sister's 40th birthday. We were rewarded with an incredibly warm and hospitable tasting experience. Kerri was so kind and knowledgeable! She recognized our small group of 3 before we even walked in and greeted us out front with a welcome glass and birthday wishes. She shared the history of the wine and all the fun details of what's gone into each glass. She answered loads of questions and felt like an old friend by the end of thr experience. We are so grateful to have found Amista and their wines! All the wine was fantastic (and the popcorn!!!) and we look forward to enjoying their sparkling for decades to come.

Read moreMy parents are long time members of Amista and dear friends of the owners Mike and Vicky. The first time I met Mike and Vicky was at Amista on my 13th birthday. The beautiful views, great company, and good laughs made that birthday, to this day, one of my favorites. Fast forward 11 years later, my roommates and I completed our masters and flew out to California to celebrate. This time, to not only enjoy the views, but the wine as well. And WOW was the wine spectacular! I talked up the wine so much so that my family planned a trip with me, my sister, my boyfriend, and some friends. We were all able to come together at Amista and enjoyed an amazing evening. My boyfriend and I became members and are so excited to receive our selections! Thank you Mike and Vicky for making every visit to Amista so...
