Passalacqua Winery — Attraction in Healdsburg

My wife and I spent an afternoon enjoying a tasting of Passalacqua wines with Chris. He did a excellent job walking us thru the wines and what they paired best with. As an avid hunter I greatly appreciated the quick code to match my wines with game and foraged foods.

We were seeking a unique and personal wine tasting experience and we definitely found that here. This 4th generation small family winery is a beautiful venue with reasonably priced and very delicious wines. They bottle just 4,000 cases, and the wines are only available to purchase at the winery or via their club membership, so they are truly limited access. The wines were delicious. We tasted all we could. We really enjoyed their Zinfandels and the Primitivo.

The quiet sleeper is the Lago di Merlo Fiano. The Italian Fiano grape tastes like a lite sav blanc, but has the mouth feel of a Chardonnay.
