The deer are well fed, but they need consistent water refills. We're "regulars" and here recently their waters been green and the hose disconnected. We love to see them, but it's hard to support this when they could be receiving the care they need at the cost of a few minutes and a few dollars a day.

It was so cool seeing the deer and being able to feed them. Only costs 25 cents!! There was one buck and four doe when we visited. What an awesome little sight when entering Heavener.

Can someone please tell me how and why this even exists? Is it simply a roadside attraction for families passing through? It’s right next to the main roadway and a large noisy train passes by, not to mention the size of the pen containing an entire family of deer. Are the deer being rehabilitated in some way? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS MADNESS TO ME?! It appears entirely pointless...

I'm 68 & have visited deer park at it's old location since I was a child when we would feed the deer while Dad made home movies. I brought a friend with me this time and she was excited to see them up close. There were 4 fawns, 2 does & a buck. Thankful the conservation of wildlife has been a priority over 70 years. Clean park with covered picnic tables. The deer are in a fenced in enclosure 🙂. Kinda funny the deer jail thing but eh you can pay 25¢ to feed some jailed deer😂. If your cool with a railroad that is also right beside the park. Their is no fence so keeping an eye on your kiddos/furbabies is needed also there is not a...
