Uinta Recreation — Attraction in Heber

I would give Uinta Recreation SIX stars if I could.

Cannot say enough great things about Adam, Rob, and our entire experience with Uinta Recreation. I have been off-roading 13 years, mostly on 2 wheels in CO but plenty of 4-wheeled trips for comparison. The service that Uinta Recreation provided was second to none.

We made an afternoon reservation for 6 adults/3 vehicles for a Tuesday. On the morning of our excursion, Adam called me to say he'd been watching the weather/radar, and there was going to be plenty of rain at the time of our afternoon trip. He offered 2 options: Push the departure back 60-90 minutes and hope to miss the heavy rain, or reschedule for later in the week. Adam repeatedly said it was our choice; he just wanted to make sure we had a good experience. We had some flexibility, so we moved our trip to Thursday. (Adam nailed the forecast, btw. It rained all afternoon on Tuesday.)

On Thursday, while we were driving to Heber City (from our lodging in Park City), I received a text from Rob inquiring about our ETA. When we pulled into the parking lot at UR 15 minutes later, we were greeted by Adam who pointed us to the office and said we could jump in on the safety talk with another group, and then we could backtrack and complete the waivers/legal stuff. I was a little confused, but it turns out I had misread my confirmation email and didn't see that we were to show up at 11:30 for our 12:30 reservation... and we were ~45 minutes late(!). There was no flak, no irritation, no reprimand, no eye-rolling... Adam and Rob were gracious and simply allowed for our 3hr time to start once we had completed all of the necessary pre-trip requirements.

After the briefing on safety, map/routes, Garmin GPS/SOS unit (provided by UR; what a great benefit that we fortunately did not have to use), we were on our way. The routes that they had mapped out were fantastic, easily navigable but not "boring," and showed off what I imagine was UT at it's best in terms of fall foliage (or at least close to it). We made it back to the rendezvous point easily on time, based on the checkpoint info we received in the pregame speech. All 6 of us enjoyed our time immensely.

Upon returning to Park City, my wife lamented that she had left her hat in the dashboard storage compartment of our side-by-side. I texted Adam, and without hesitation he agreed to ship it back to our home residence for us. It was simply the icing on the cake in terms of their excellent service.

They could have simply let us show up on Tuesday and ride (miserably) in the rain all afternoon... but they didn't.

They could have cut our ride short on Thursday, since I erred in reading my confirmation email and caused us to show up late... but they didn't.

They could have blown off the forgotten hat... but they didn't.

If I am ever in Park City/Heber City again, I would absolutely seek out Uinta Recreation for another off-road rental experience. Thank you, Adam & Rob! You...

Incredible Equipment & Stress-Free Navigation The snowmobiles were top-of-the-line, well-maintained, and handled beautifully on the trails. ❄️🚀 We were also blown away by how Uinta Recreation integrates Google Maps into the experience—absolute genius! 📍 Knowing that we wouldn’t get lost out in the vast winter wonderland made the trip even more fun and relaxing. No guides needed, just pure adventure, breathtaking scenery, and the freedom to explore at our own pace!

Shoutout to Adam & Ron – Absolute Legends! Now, we HAVE to take a moment to recognize Adam and Ron, who truly went above and beyond to make this experience extra special. 💯 These guys were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and just overall amazing people to be around. You can tell they love what they do, and their enthusiasm is contagious! From making sure we were comfortable with the machines to sharing local insights and ensuring we had an EPIC ride, they really made the day one for the books.

Final Verdict? 10/10 – We’ll Be Back! If you’re on the fence about renting snowmobiles in Park City, DO IT—and do it with Uinta Recreation! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, they’ve got you covered. Every aspect of the experience, from booking to drop-off, was effortless, fun, and just flat-out awesome. My family and I were eager to make the most of Labor Day weekend at Deer Creek Reservoir. Unfortunately, upon discovering that all the water sports activities at the lake were fully booked and quite costly, we decided to explore other options. That's when we came across Uinta Recreation for jet ski rentals. To our pleasant surprise, their prices were remarkably more budget-friendly, and the staff members were exceptionally warm and accommodating.

We were particularly impressed by the same employee who not only provided us with comprehensive safety instructions but also lent a helping hand in attaching the two jet ski trailers to our car, both during pick-up and return. Their dedication to ensuring a seamless experience was truly commendable.

Moreover, the two jet skis we rented were in impeccable condition, offering us a fantastic and worry-free experience on the water. The quality of their equipment certainly exceeded our expectations.

Uinta Recreation's location in Heber, right in town, was a mere five-minute drive away from Deer Creek State Park. This convenient proximity made our weekend getaway all the more enjoyable, allowing us to maximize our time at the picturesque Deer Creek Reservoir.
