High Country Cellars — Attraction in Heflin

My wife and I were on vacation this past weekend at Cheaha state park and decided to check out a local winery. This place was our first choice because of the reviews and wow! This is the best winery I've ever been to. They have such a wonderful selection of fruity wines. We did a tasting and it was really hard for us to choose so we decided to just get a case. The Skeeter Piss was great! So was the blueberry and the honey meade made from locally sourced honey. The owner came and spoke to us and explained how he got into the business. We moved to west Georgia 3 years ago and have been to vineyards and wineries all over the area. High Country is hands down one of the best we've ever been to, in this area or anywhere in the country. The selection of wines they have are like nothing else you will find anywhere around here. They really think outside the box when it comes to being creative and original. We tasted wines like we've never tasted anywhere before. We took home a case with 8 different wines, tried and liked at least a dozen, and can't wait to go back and try the ones we missed.
