Elevated Grounds 2 — Restaurant in Heflin

The location of this place is good for hikers coming off Pinhoti in search for food. We each ordered a sandwich meal which included chips, pickle and a cookie. Our sandwich’s were not very good. The chicken salad sandwich was heated. This is a first for cold chicken salad. The BLT maybe had 2 pieces of bacon. Two sandwich meals for a total of $27 is too expensive for the quality we received. Also the cookie tasted old. Very disappointed.

Elevated Grounds in Heflin, AL, has become our go-to spot. The small shop's enjoyable atmosphere, coupled with Christian music and outdoor picnic tables, creates a fun environment. Very strange to find coffee this good in a town this small. The cappuccino milk wasn't properly frothed for cappuccino so I basically had a stout latte, but it is important to note that the shot was perfect. Also the milk was too hot.
