I have lived on the perimeter of Rodeo Park since the days it was the concrete sludge dump for the developers. That was almost a 1/4 century ago. Its come a long way. Recent changing of the guard has devoided the area of all of the original residents except myself. In general it is quiet, with minor noise at night. There is the presence of too much daytime traffic using the park to speed thru to other destinations. Once life picks up this will increase without daytime speed enforcement. As in the past, the only enforcement Attention this area gets is around events in the area and gang activity at night. Nightime noise here isnt fireworks. There have been multiple sanctioned murders and an occassional traffic collision death. The daytime activity is more like middle America. It wont worsen unless the imported gang activity from California and Mexico continues unchecked. I am in a position to know what happens , and is ignored here by law inforcement. Having been beaten by local law enforcement personel on 3 occassions as they dont value my presence. You see, Im tranagender and not wanted here by the governmental control groups. I receive constant harrassment from HPD and the Park area HOA. I am currently renovating my 400 sg ft front yard at the cost to me of nearly $4500 in an attempt to stop getting "papered" with nusnance fines weekly. If you dont fit into their idea of a community, prepare to be ostracised with fines and fees. Meanwhile the BMW's speed thru the park at over 60 mph. It's been my home thru the beginning, the hard times with foreclosures, the good times, and now with the influx of Californians and their unearned wealth. And they look down their noses as me as a working Tgirl. Seems everyone needs someone to throw rocks at. I'll be the last original owner on my street until I die. And so life goes on. Too bad they couldnt even leave the monument the way it was designed. Now it looks boring with...
ย ย ย Read moreNice park, very quaint. Small yet u leave satisfied from going there. They need more light post for lights at night. But still a good park to go to. The park is dog friendly as well, make sure you bring your poo bags for clean up after your dogs. It's a clean and almost poo free park, which is good for those who like to run around and play. It has a small baseball diamond on one end and a sand volley ball court. Bathrooms, jungle gym, walking path, covered picnic tables, BBQer and a small open field. Like I said small, but you leave satisfied and...

I would really love to see a ๐ park put in Rodeo Park: it's the only thing missing. There is plenty of room to put a medium sized dog park without disturbing other activities. It could be placed at the beginning of the grassy area, near the sign...
